What You'll Do:
- Develop strategies for the sub-category and manage the pipeline of projects (new and renewals)
- Lead sourcing activities for end-to-end procurement strategies with varying levels of complexity
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and advise on procurement practices, providing expertise, support and guidance at all stages of the procurement cycle
- Lead negotiations within your respective sub-category
- Interact with suppliers and monitor contract performance
- Review specifications, analyze market, and select potential suppliers, lead the RFx process, analyze prices/quality expectations/delivery dates/terms, negotiate prices and terms, and award suppliers
- Analyze spend and other data while also conducting regular market benchmarking
- Develop content for monthly procurement business reviews with internal partners
- Build and analyze pricing models based on collaborators' requirements while partnering with Finance
- Transform multiple and complex streams of information into simple, clear and concise terms for presentations
- Domestic travel as needed
What You'll Need:
- 2+ years of experience in Technology strategic sourcing, category management and procurement - global experience is a plus
- Ability to create a category and negotiation strategy
- Experience in negotiating software agreements and contracts
- Strong understanding of software license structure (Saas, Subscription, Perpetual, etc.)
- Outstanding organizational and project management skills to be able to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient understanding of standard Microsoft Office applications
- Experience in IT hardware procurement is preferred but not required
- Experience running competitive request for proposals (RFPs)
- BA or BS required; MBA preferred. Procurement Certifications are a plus
