As a Process Quality Engineer, you'll document and standardize manufacturing processes for electromechanical assemblies, collaborating with teams to create work instructions and drive process improvements.

We are searching for a seasoned Quality Engineer – Electromechanical in Valencia, CA, with experience in the writing and development of work instructions for a variety of electromechanical assemblies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality engineering practices within manufacturing environments and be skilled at translating complex assembly processes into clear, accurate documentation. This role will support process standardization, continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with internal and customer quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create Work Instructions: Develop clear and detailed work instructions for manufacturing processes, specifically focusing on actuators, valves, and electromechanical assemblies, utilizing Excel and PowerPoint to document both text and images.
- Understand Manufacturing Processes: Gain a thorough understanding of the processes involved and translate them into easily actionable, precise instructions that will guide production teams.
- Collaborate with Production Teams: Work closely with various production teams to ensure that work instructions reflect best practices and offer clear guidance on task execution.
- Drive Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and help implement changes that enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Be a Communication Bridge: Communicate effectively with all levels of production personnel to ensure instructions are clear and that any issues are addressed promptly.
Required Qualifications:
- Manufacturing Experience: 5 plus years in Aerospace or Manufacturing experience. Strong background in manufacturing processes, particularly with electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Electro-Mechanical Assembly Experience: Bonus if you have worked with actuators, valves, and switches in a manufacturing or quality assurance capacity.
- Microsoft Suite Proficiency: Comfort and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc., to create, edit, and present work instructions and documentation.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to document manufacturing processes meticulously, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all work instructions.
- Collaborative & Personable: Strong interpersonal skills to engage with production teams, ask questions, and ensure alignment between work instructions and actual practices.
- Proactive Mindset: Ability to take initiative, seek out information, and resolve challenges independently while contributing to overall process improvements.
