The Role:
Our Platform Broker will part of a growing team responsible for oversight of self-service customers and partners using the Forge platform. In addition to oversight of platform clients, the platform broker team leads interactions with our full-service broker team to help match liquidity and maximize transaction volume.
Our team of platform brokers will cover a wide variety of customers using our online platform, including private company shareholders, high net worth individuals, and institutional investors. This team will work collaboratively to ensure these customers have support when they need it and are educated to leverage our tools to transact themselves.
In this role you will be part of a close team supporting each other and working closely with product groups to constantly provide feedback to improve the platform. You should expect to grow your knowledge of all aspects of private securities trading while in this role to ensure we can optimize every part of the client experience.
Location: This role requires a hybrid work schedule, with 2-3 days per week in our San Francisco, CA office to foster collaboration and teamwork.Responsibilities:
- Customer relations management
- Help customers complete trades and navigate platform
- Support customer inquiries
- Take an active role in advising clients how to structure and execute transactions
- Review client diligence and ensure compliance standards are met
- Collaborate with various internal groups, such as Product and Marketing to ensure continuous improvement of platform
- Participate in the development of business prospects from current customers, referrals and networking
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of prior experience in financial services/venture capital/ investment banking (sales & trading, wealth management)
- Series 7, 63/66, SIE preferred (ability to achieve all licenses within 8 weeks of start)
- Ability to build relationships with customers and internal team members and stakeholders
- Strong ability to work in an online trading and fast-paced environment while ensuring adequate customer support
- Understanding of the private securities marketplace and transactions; understanding of institutional equity research and sales
- Motivation and ability to constantly improve our platform; must be able to help scale our capabilities and operational processes
- Excellent organizational skills and follow-through, both internally and externally; high attention to detail across many active tasks
- Ability to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and external clients across the Financial Services universe
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Physical requirements: operate a computer for 8 hours per day; give and receive detailed information through verbal and written communication
For residents of San Francisco, CA/Bay Area the annual salary for this role ranges from $100,000 - $150,000 and total compensation (salary + bonus) ranges from $200,000 - $250,000 depending on individual performance. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on candidate performance, experience, expertise, and other factors.
