In 2024, we crossed the $100 million mark in ARR – an incredible milestone in our growth story. We’ve been named in GP Bullhound’s 2024 Top 100 Next Unicorn list, we’ve earned Flexa’s stamp as a truly flexible workplace, and we proudly hold Great Place to Work certification in both the USA and UK. As a fully remote, global company, we’re rewriting the rules of how modern businesses operate.

And we’re just getting started!  We are growing fast and on a mission to find the very best talent in the world. If you’re ready to bring your bold ideas to a fast-paced, dynamic team, keep reading – this role could be the one you’ve been waiting for.

About the Role:

Value Engineering is a newly established team focused on driving revenue growth by engaging stakeholders in business outcome discussions. Our core focus is supporting pre-sales pursuits to justify deal investments and expand opportunities, in partnership with Sales and Solution Engineering. We also periodically support post-sales pursuits to drive adoption & renewal, in partnership with Customer Success. While our goal is to engage with business stakeholders, we might initially interact with technical stakeholders as an entry point to reach their business counterparts.

What you'll be doing:

  • Build Camunda’s VE Services & Assets - As the 2nd hire to the VE team, you will help build the foundational services, assets and processes. This includes developing standardized, reusable assets for our services (i.e. service overviews, processes, financial models, sample deliverables), establishing internal processes and tools (i.e. GTM reporting, VE request process, Value asset repository) and supporting onboarding of new VE team members, helping them to ramp on our methodology, service delivery, and internal processes.

  • Evangelize and Drive Adoption of VE with GTM teams - As a new team, VE requires internal advocacy to drive awareness, buy-in and adoption across GTM. You will continuously communicate the “what, why and when” of VE services, informally coach account teams on VE services and framing business outcomes with industry insight to elevate their customer conversations, and deliver quick wins that demonstrate impact & build momentum.

  • Deliver VE Services with Customers - A goal is driving revenue growth by engaging in business outcome-focused conversations. You will partner with account teams to identify opportunities for VE, lead both technical (i.e. TCO analysis) and business-focused (i.e. value proposition, strategic roadmap) VE engagements through research, workshop facilitation, process mapping and value analysis (ROI, NPV). You’ll also develop executive-ready deliverables that show how Camunda enables business transformation & delivers value, and present recommendations to stakeholders, securing buy-in and elevating Camunda’s strategic positioning.

  • Be a trusted advisor - Your success will come from elevating Camunda’s value story, gaining stakeholder buy-in & guiding business outcomes. You will build trust by delivering consistently in VE engagement, provide industry-focused POVs across deliverables and discussions, and influence stakeholders through a consultative selling approach that frames business opportunities and drives outcomes. Post-deal, you’ll stay periodically engaged to support long-term transformation.

What you bring:

  • Work Experience: 7+ years in strategic consulting, pre-sales Value Advisory or leading business transformation initiatives in an industry.

  • Management Consulting: Led consulting engagements from discovery through delivery to identify transformation opportunities, create deliverables focused on driving business transformation & build executive champions to advance deals.

  • Executive Engagement: Experience engaging & building relationships with customer business stakeholders and internal cross-functional teams.

  • Communication & Storytelling: Skilled at simplifying complex ideas & experience into clear, concise, compelling POVs. Strong public speaking & workshop facilitation.

  • Presentation & Asset Building: Expert at crafting executive-ready presentations that distill complex topics into structured, impactful, easy-to-digest narratives.

  • Financial Acumen: Proficient in building financial models including ROI, NPV, TCO, value benefits and payback period, for both projected and realized value.

  • Industry Expertise: Solid understanding of industry landscape, value chains, business processes and trends in at least 1 industry.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Education: MBA or advanced degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • Business Process Analysis & Improvement: Experience optimizing business processes to improve effectiveness, using frameworks like BPMI, design thinking.

  • Sales Acumen: Experience shaping deal strategy, supporting sales cycles and collaborating with GTM teams and partners.

Role Logistics:

  • This is a remote role.

  • Travel required up to 50%.

  • This role will support global sales pursuits, with emphasis on America and Europe.

  • Flexibility of working hours is required to support customer engagements across global timezones, with preference on AMER and EMEA time zones.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
