Our mission is to empower property owners and renters with intuitive, powerful tools to streamline the rental process. Were seeking a passionate UX Designer to join a small, dedicated product development team focused on innovation in a fast-paced environment.
Role Overview
RentRedi is seeking a Principal UX Designer to elevate our end-to-end product experience across web and mobile. You will be the most senior IC designer on the team, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Customer Success to uncover deep user insights and translate them into elegant, scalable product experiences.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and wants to shape the design vision for a platform serving tens of thousands of landlords, millions of renters, and a rapidly growing prop-tech ecosystem.
What You'll Do
Strategic Design Leadership

- Develop and drive design principles, interaction models, and usability standards that scale across the platform.
- Act as a thought partner to Product and Engineering leadership on product sequencing, scope tradeoffs, and user-centered decision-making.
- Lead discovery for 01 and 1N initiatives, including agentic workflows, identifying where AI-driven delegation, automated decisioning, and context-aware assistance can reduce landlord workload and streamline their business growth.
Execution & Craft
- Support a fast-moving agile development team by delivering high-fidelity prototypes, interaction models, and user flows for both mobile and web. Maintain a backlog of validated designs for execution.
- Conduct user research (generative and evaluative) with landlords and renters.
- Champion accessibility and design quality in a resource-constrained environment - knowing where fidelity matters and where speed wins.
- Maintain systemized patterns for multi-platform consistency and future design system expansion.
Cross-Functional Influence
- Partner with Customer Success, Support, and Marketing to identify UX friction impacting activation, retention, NPS, and expansion.
- Work with Data to run experiments, interpret behavior analytics, and prioritize UX opportunities that move metrics.
- Mentor other designers; uplift team craft and design thinking across the organization.
Experience You Have
- 8+ years of UX/Product Design experience, with at least 3 years in senior/lead/principal roles.
- A demonstrated history of complex workflow simplification. Strong preference for experience in PropTech, fintech, payments, or workflows involving compliance or accounting.
- Deep experience in user research, information architecture, interaction design, and prototyping.
- An excitement to see whats next for product building, a desire to experiment with the bleeding edge of AI tools to accelerate design and development.
- Experience designing for mobile apps and desktop web, with a strong understanding of responsive systems.
- Ability to bring clarity to ambiguous problem spaces and advocate for users in high-velocity environments.
- Comfortable partnering with founders and product leadership to shape strategynot just execute requirements.
- Experience with working from and expanding design systems (e.g., building or rebuilding components at scale)
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with workflows of independent landlords, small/mid-size property managers, or real estate investors.
- Experience in PLG-driven environments, using UX to improve activation, expansion, and retention metrics.
- Strong understanding of mobile UX patterns for both Android and iOS.
- Experience designing AI-assisted or agentic user experiences (helpful but not required).
Why Join RentRedi
