We’re seeking a Principal UX Designer with interest in service design to join our team. In this role, you’ll be embedded within a team reimagining a new product for our internal sales teams that enhances workflows, streamlines processes, and ultimately improves the lives of both our providers and clients. You will partner closely with a dedicated UX researcher and product managers to connect separate systems into a centralized tool and use your critical thinking and design skills to deliver impactful solutions.

The Principal UX Designer is engaged throughout the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to delivery, as well as in the continuous improvement of the product. This position reports to the UX Design Manager.

This full-time position is based out of Utah but also remote friendly from anywhere within the US.

Responsibilities

Strategic UX Design

  • Lead the end-to-end design process, including user flows, wireframes, and prototypes, ensuring alignment with Staffing Platform objectives.
  • Design innovative solutions for enterprise products that simplify complex workflows across companies and user types.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and user needs into elegant, intuitive designs.

Service Design

  • Service Mapping: Visualize end-to-end processes by creating service blueprints that identify key touchpoints, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Process Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline fragmented workflows, ensuring alignment between user needs and business objectives.
  • Workshop Facilitation: Lead co-design workshops with stakeholders to uncover inefficiencies and generate innovative solutions for the Staffing Platform ecosystem.
  • System Integration: Ensure designs effectively connect siloed systems into cohesive, user-friendly workflows that support sales teams, recruiters, and other key stakeholders.
  • Scalability: Develop service frameworks that allow for growth and adaptation as business needs evolve.

User Research & Insights

  • Partner with UX Researcher to plan and execute qualitative and quantitative research, including interviews, usability tests, and surveys, to understand user needs and pain points.
  • Partner with UX Researcher to synthesize research findings into actionable insights that inform product strategies and prioritize solutions.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to design enterprise-level products in Figma, with a portfolio showcasing wireframes, prototypes, and solutions for complex workflows.
  • Experience designing centralized, scalable solutions for large-scale platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences across diverse touchpoints.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within Agile teams, communicate clearly with cross-functional stakeholders, and influence decision-making at all organizational levels.
  • Extensive experience using whiteboarding tools such as FigJam and Miro to outline journeys, flows, or blueprints, ensuring stakeholder alignment and clarity for new processes.
  • Versed in planning and conducting user research, usability testing, and synthesizing insights to drive informed, user-centered design decisions.

Educations & Experience

  • 10+ years relevant work experience.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human Factors or a related field.
  • Experience designing staffing, recruiting, or CRM/ATS solutions.
  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms like Salesforce or Bullhorn

We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay range of $128,000 -- $247,200 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience. During the hiring process, your recruiter can provide more information about the specific salary range for the job location. 

CHG Healthcare offers starting salaries for sales positions in the form of total target compensation (TTC = base + commission + bonus), which includes base pay, commission, and bonuses. Sales positions receive short-term incentives through commission plans and bonuses. On the other hand, non-sales positions have starting salaries that consist of a base salary and short-term incentives through various bonus plans, which are paid out monthly, quarterly, or annually.
