Position Purpose: Accountable for planning, creating and communicating Business Technology Services (BTS) strategies. This role will be key to informing business alignment, shaping and influencing key decisions on selection, branding, communications, socialization, and adoption of technology strategies. Position will require interaction with a cross section of the company's senior management team, internal CIOs, and other high-level executives at Centene. Supports established organizational objectives by enhancing alignment between technology initiatives and business goals, improving communication and socialization of technology strategies across the organization and increasing adoption of new technologies and innovations. Provides clear and effective communication of technology strategies and outcomes to the board.
  • Serve as a trusted confidant and advisor to the CIO, Markets and Health Products.
  • Develop and articulate technology strategies that align with the company's business goals.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Lines of Business, Markets, Operations and other internal units to ensure a cohesive strategy.
  • Act as a thought partner to the Business Technology Solutions (BTS) executive leadership team in support of the organizational culture and strategic priorities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on technology trends and innovations.
  • Influence key decisions on branding, communications, socialization, and adoption of technology initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of technology strategies and make necessary adjustments.
  • Create and deliver board-level materials to communicate technology strategies, progress, and outcomes.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to ensure that technology strategies are effectively communicated and understood at the board level.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives to foster innovation and continuous improvement within BTS.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to support technology strategy initiatives.
  • Identify and assess potential risks and opportunities related to technology strategies and provide recommendations for mitigation and optimization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of related experience, including knowledge of deep functional and healthcare payer-specific knowledge.
Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Pay Range: $185,200.00 - $352,700.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
