Principal Technical Consultant
We are seeking a highly technical and self-sufficient Principal Technical Consultant to join our expert team focused on intelligent document processing (IDP), content management, and business process management (BPM) including enterprise system integration.
This role requires strong hands-on development skills, particularly in integrating enterprise systems to enable scalable, intelligent document lifecycle automation, implementing Kofax-like solutions, automating document workflows, and consulting with clients to translate business needs into technical execution. The ideal candidate will bring a “builder” mindset, architectural insight, and a passion for designing and deploying high-performance, automated document processing solutions that incorporate OCR, machine learning, and seamless integration with enterprise platforms.
This is a Client-Facing Consulting role. You will collaborate directly with clients to gather requirements, define technical roadmaps, and deliver best-fit solutions. Present architecture plans and technical options clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Guide clients in information governance strategy, document lifecycle automation, and compliance alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership in Document Processing:
- Provide architectural oversight and technical leadership on IDP
- Analyze business needs and document-centric workflows to design end-to-end automation solutions
- Lead development and optimization of intelligent capture, classification, data extraction, and validation processes
AI/ML-Powered Automation:
- Integrate OCR and natural language processing (NLP) components to enhance unstructured document understanding
- Implement machine learning models for document classification, entity recognition, and workflow decisioning
- Apply document AI platforms (e.g., Azure AI Document Intelligence, GCP Document AI, Tesseract) in production settings
Custom Development & Integration:
- Write and maintain scripts and connectors using C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, and SQL
- Design secure and scalable integration layers with platforms such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, SAP, and Workday
- Leverage platforms like Workato to orchestrate document-centric workflows across cloud and on-prem systems
Required Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of OCR and document automation tools including: Tesseract, Azure AI Document Intelligence, Google Cloud Document AI
- Background in AI-powered document automation, including: Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning (ML), LLM training and tuning, MongoDB, Elastic Search, Lucene, Strong grasp of intelligent document capture workflows and document classification/extraction
- Content Management & Information Governance: Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and Information Governance frameworks, Understanding of enterprise content architectures and system integration patterns
- Proficient in: JavaScript / Angular / React, C# / .NET, Python & SQL
- Proven experience integrating with enterprise content repositories such as Microsoft 365 / SharePoint, SAP, Workday, and others
- Capable of creating scalable, maintainable, and secure integration layers between systems
- Experience using Workato or similar platforms for low-code/no-code integration, automating workflows and orchestrating integrations across SaaS platforms and databases

- A technical utility knife – adaptable, quick-thinking, and hands-on
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive solutions with minimal oversight
- Excellent communication skills, able to interface directly with clients and internal teams
- Enjoys hacking, problem-solving, and finding creative workarounds to complex issues
- Thrives in solving tough automation challenges and simplifying complexity
- Willing and able to travel up to 50%+ to support client engagements and implementations
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
