JOB SUMMARY: The Principal Systems Engineer is a leading practitioner who leverages broad expertise across specialized fields or several related disciplines to lead complex systems engineering efforts and guide program systems ensuring alignment with CTS architecture standards. This role will work across systems engineering subject matter experts, department leadership, and instructional designers to create and deliver quality training materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with CTS Engineering SMEs and the Instructional Design team to develop core systems engineering and/or CTS capability training material for in-person, virtual, and eLearning delivery.
- Deliver training courses on an as-assigned basis.
- Participate in driving process integration into training materials.
- Comply with Cubic’s Quality Management System.
- Comply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures.
- Comply with Cubic Human Resources Procedures.
- Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of relevant organizations.
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, plus a minimum of 12 years of experience; or a Master’s degree with 8 years of experience; or a PhD with 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in solving complex, ambiguous engineering problems and developing innovative solutions.
- Strong technical writing, written and verbal communications, and presentation skills.
Cubic Pay Range:
$140,000.00 - $190,000.00 + benefits.
The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
