What you’ll do:

  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with key stakeholders across Atlassian and other technology partner organizations, acting as a trusted representative of Appfire.
  • Lead strategic partnership initiatives from opportunity identification through execution, aligning cross-functional teams and driving measurable business outcomes.
  • Monitor partner platform developments, product roadmaps, marketplace programs, policies, and business models to identify opportunities and risks for Appfire.
  • Connect Appfire’s product capabilities with partner priorities and customer needs to identify opportunities for collaboration, innovation, integrations, and growth.
  • Evaluate partnership opportunities and commercial models, providing recommendations based on business impact, market dynamics, and commercial considerations.
  • Represent Appfire in strategic partner meetings, business reviews, ecosystem forums, and senior-level discussions to advance shared objectives.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Data Insights to develop and execute partnership strategies.
  • Translate complex technical, commercial, and ecosystem developments into clear insights and actionable recommendations that inform business priorities and strategic decisions.

What you’ll need:

  • 7+ years of experience in strategic alliances, technology partnerships, ecosystem management, marketplace strategy, product partnerships, or a related role within enterprise software.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and demonstrated experience independently managing senior external stakeholders and strategic partner relationships.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct reporting authority.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise software ecosystems, digital marketplaces, and technology partnership business models.
  • Ability to assess commercial opportunities, exercise sound business judgment, and develop recommendations that support business growth.
  • Experience working with Product and Engineering teams on technology platforms, integrations, or other complex technical initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to translate complex technical and commercial topics into clear business recommendations.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, work independently, and adapt to evolving technologies, partner priorities, and market conditions.

What we offer:

  • The opportunity to shape Appfire’s strategic technology partnerships and contribute directly to our growth and long-term market position.
  • The chance to collaborate with leading technology partners and influence initiatives across product, engineering, commercial, and go-to-market teams.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
