Job Overview

As a Principal Engineer on the Shared Compute Infrastructure team, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable cloud solutions that support Relativity’s strategic goals. You will serve as a technical expert and mentor, driving innovation and ensuring architectural integrity across cloud platforms. This role requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Job Description and Requirements

Job Responsibilities 

  • Lead the design and implementation of complex cloud infrastructure and services. 

  • Define and enforce cloud-native architecture standards and best practices. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud-native solutions with business objectives. 

  • Mentor and guide engineers across multiple teams, fostering professional growth. 

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies. 

  • Ensure security, scalability, and reliability of cloud systems. 

  • Contribute to strategic planning and roadmap development for critical business initiatives. 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Extensive experience in the design of infrastructure platforms, tooling, and integration with Kubernetes. 

  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. 

  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, networking, and security. 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and mentor engineers. 

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field. 

  • Experience with infrastructure as code and automation tools. 

  • Background in working with global and cross-cultural teams. 

Relativity is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices.

This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.

The expected salary range for this role is between following values:

$210,000 and $314,000

The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
