The Job:

We’re looking for an experienced and skilled software engineer who thrives in designing and building large-scale enterprise web and SaaS applications. With strong problem-solving skills with a focus on business needs and prioritization.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Design, architect, develop and implement secure and scalable critical business solutions.
  • Translate Business and User needs into technical requirements and socialize architectural designs to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain design documents, including ERDs and Technical Governance standards
  • Evolving the technical direction of the services.
  • Delivering quality features on-time and on-budget and executing against project plans and delivery commitments.
  • Ensuring the correct operation of the services that your team owns.
  • Working with your team members to coordinate the day-to-day development activities.
  • Helping hiring engineers for your team.

Who You Are:

  • Enterprise Application Development: 10+ years of experience in designing and building large-scale enterprise web/SaaS applications.
  • Programming Expertise: 5+ years of experience with Python (Django, Flask) or PHP (Symfony, Zend, Laravel) frameworks.
  • Full-Stack Development: Strong expertise in both front-end and back-end development.
  • Database Management: 5+ years of experience with MySQL or other relational databases, with proficiency in handling raw, complex queries for large datasets.
  • Software Engineering Best Practices:
    • Extensive Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) experience.
    • Strong understanding of design patterns, clean coding, refactoring, and code review practices.
    • Hands-on ability to write clean, secure, reliable, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Architectural Knowledge:
    • Experience designing and implementing microservices and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
    • Proven ability to take abstract concepts and translate them into detailed software deliverables.
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Ability to work effectively across teams and departments.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on business needs and prioritization.

Compensation:

The base salary range is: $160,000 - $170,000

The Base Pay Range for this position is based on the industry benchmark for position, function, level and the company's compensation strategies. However, final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other objective business. Convoso’s compensation package also includes equity for all eligible U.S full time roles and exceptional benefits, including generous 401k match.
