We are now looking for an experienced RF power amplifier (PA) design engineer to play a key technical role in the development of our emerging portfolio of single-chip Wi-Fi 7 front-ends in CMOS SOI technology with industry leading power efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for the feasibility study, design, simulation, and layout of power amplifiers in our front-ends using state-of-the-art simulations tools.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree and 8+ years of related work experience
- Strong analogue circuit design skills, and experience performing analysis and simulation of both linear and non-linear circuits for power amplifiers and other related RF circuit blocks
- Knowledge about CMOS and/or Bipolar Silicon technologies
- Wireless communications knowledge: OFDM/OFDMA, 802.11, 4G and 5G
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Proficiency in Cadence schematic capture, layout and simulation tools
- Experience in EM simulations using tools as EMX, RFPro/Momentum and/or HFSS
- Proven track record in the design of power amplifiers for cellular or Wi-Fi applications
Desirable Skills and Experience
- 12+ years of experience with Ph D degree is preferred
- Experience with various PA linearization techniques including digital pre-distortion
- Understanding and knowledge of concepts such as envelope tracking, tunable front-end components, and impedance tuning
- Lab experience to perform IC characterization and debugging
- Knowledge of data analysis and proficiency software tools such as MATLAB and Python
