Job Description:
What You'll Do
Responsible for building and maintaining a portfolio of key digital enabler relationships with external account stakeholders to drive business growth. Works cross functionally to meet business objectives such as new revenue generation, capability deployment, or marketing program development. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting complaints or issues within the day-to-day role to management.
How You'll Do It
  • Strategically partner internally and externally to identify new or additional business opportunities within existing high value accounts; maintain and grow relationships to attain new business opportunities and improve client experience.
  • Proactively address client inquiries and problem solve to resolve opportunities or issues. Negotiate contracts, incentives, or pricing agreements while ensure compliance with new processes and business practices.
  • Serve as trusted advisor between Discover and their portfolio of accounts by maintaining relationships with key decision-makers across all divisions of the assigned partner.
  • Present product and marketing initiatives to network participants to improve Discover's position versus competition.
  • Advise network participants of operational initiatives, new products/services/pricing or marketing program opportunities.
  • Provide voice of industry into products, marketing and operations by analyzing new trends that may impact client engagement and work with new internal stakeholders to develop tactics to improve Discover's position.
  • Work closely with Compliance, Legal and Due Diligence to ensure proposals and contracts are effectively and accurately produced.

Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics
  • Bachelors Business Administration and Management, Marketing, Finance
  • 6+ years Business Development, Sales, Relationship Management, Strategy or related
  • In Lieu of education, 10+ years Business Development, Sales, Relationship Management or Strategy

Bonus Points If You Have
  • Masters Business Administration and Management, Marketing, Finance
  • 6 years experience of Payment Industry, Sales and/or relationship business development experience
  • 6 years experience of operations, project management, planning

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $91,000.00 to $153,400.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
