About Us

Logistics is broken. At Augment, our mission is to fix it.

Augment is a team of builders and customer champions using AI to transform the $9T global logistics industry. Our flagship product, Augie, is a freight-native AI teammate that works across phone, email, portals, and systems to automate and streamline the most complex logistics workflows—supporting brokers, shippers, and carriers from order to cash. We already work with some of the biggest names in logistics, and we’ve raised $110M from Redpoint Ventures, 8VC, and leading logistics funds.

If you thrive in fast-paced, high-impact environments and want to define how AI will reshape logistics, we can’t wait to meet you.

Overview

Augment is seeking a Principal Product Marketing Manager to define and lead our product marketing function. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, your mission is to help us bring new products to market successfully and ensure their ongoing success. You will shape the perceived value of our products, drive rapid buyer adoption, and position Augment’s platform as the indisputable category leader.

What You’ll Do
  • Market Research and Competitive Intelligence. You’ll inform the product roadmap and shape our market POV by serving as Augment’s lead expert on logistics buyer behavior, competitive intelligence, and customer pain points. You’ll build and evolve an intelligence engine (win/loss, deal debriefs, etc.) that keeps the field and leadership sharp.

  • Positioning and Messaging. You’ll define and evolve Augment’s positioning to help us win the category—pairing a strong narrative with crisp messaging for each product and feature. You’ll craft language that’s simple, memorable, and differentiated, rooted in real logistics outcomes.

  • Core GTM Assets. You’ll create the core assets that power GTM: product pages, solution briefs, pitch narratives, customer stories, and more. You’ll set the standard for persuasive, persona-aware storytelling that moves deals forward.

  • Product Launches. You’ll lead end-to-end launches for all releases—defining who it’s for, why it matters, how it wins, and how we drive adoption. You’ll align Product, Sales, CS, and Marketing on the plan, execution, and success metrics.

  • Sales Enablement. You’ll equip Sales and CS with practical, field-tested enablement to land and expand revenue: plays, talk tracks, objection handling, competitive guidance, and demo narratives. You’ll partner with Sales leadership to ensure enablement directly supports pipeline and revenue goals.

  • Pricing and Packaging. You’ll shape pricing and packaging that maps to customer value and buying behavior as the platform expands. You’ll bring market inputs and competitive context to decisions, and ensure changes are clear and easy to sell.

What We're Looking For
  • Ownership Mentality. This is a rare opportunity to build and shape the PMM function at a category-defining company experiencing rapid growth and success. You’re motivated to make your mark and embrace both high autonomy and high accountability for output and impact.

  • Deep Logistics and AI Fluency. You have significant Product Marketing experience in logistics, supply chain, or an adjacent industry, and are comfortable bringing AI products to market. You know the language of logistics from TMS to POD — and can translate complex concepts for any audience.

  • Technically Apt and Deeply Curious. You sweat the details of every product: what we’re building, why we built it that way, and how it’s evolving. You can converse just as easily with a seasoned engineer or product manager as you can with the rest of the marketing team.

  • Exceptional Communicator. You can craft clear, concise, and compelling copy with ease, and your verbal communication skills command an audience’s attention. You have a portfolio of compelling deliverables that made an impact.

  • Internal Bridge Builder. You’re comfortable and familiar working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams. You deeply understand each of their functions and how to build coalitions that make the whole greater than the sum of its parts.

Why Join Us?
  • Competitive Salary + Stock Options

  • Comprehensive Health, Vision, and Dental Benefits

  • Flexible PTO

  • On-site Gym

  • Monthly stipend

About Augment

At Augment, we set out to create a fully autonomous AI platform that streamlines operations and reclaims the human element in logistics. Our founders recognized a pattern: talented professionals were stuck handling manual data entry, phone calls, and repetitive tasks, instead of focusing on high-impact problem-solving and strategic decision-making.

That insight became our mission—to free logistics professionals from busywork so they can focus on what truly drives business growth. Augment isn’t just about efficiency; it’s about transforming an entire industry by empowering teams with AI-driven solutions that make logistics smarter, faster, and more adaptive.

Join us on this journey!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
