About the Role

We’re looking for a visionary Principal Product Marketing Manager, Serverless to lead the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for our cloud product portfolio. This highly strategic role sits at the intersection of product, marketing, and sales, driving positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation, and product launches for our cloud solutions. As a senior member of the Product Marketing team, you will shape how our serverless offerings are perceived in the market and adopted by enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

  • GTM Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for cloud products and features, including launch planning, field enablement, and customer campaigns.

  • Positioning & Messaging: Craft compelling positioning and messaging that differentiates our cloud offerings in the market. Tailor messaging to different personas including developers, DevOps, platform engineers, and enterprise buyers.

  • Sales & Field Enablement: Create sales tools, playbooks, and training materials to empower field teams to engage effectively with prospects and customers. Lead enablement sessions and drive consistent messaging across all touchpoints.

  • Customer & Market Intelligence: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to gather insights that inform marketing strategy, product development, and executive decisions.

  • Thought Leadership & Content Development: Collaborate with content teams to develop blogs, whitepapers, webinars, presentations, and analyst briefings that establish our brand as a cloud innovation leader.

  • Product Launches: Partner with product management and cross-functional teams to plan and execute high-impact product and feature launches. Ensure internal readiness and external awareness.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in product marketing, with at least 4+ years in cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, or related technical domains.

  • Proven track record of leading successful GTM efforts for complex cloud-native or SaaS products.

  • Strong technical acumen; ability to deeply understand and explain cloud architecture, containers, serverless, CI/CD, and modern developer workflows.

  • Deep understanding of serverless runtimes and execution models, such as AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS), Cloud Run or other open-source alternatives (container-based serverless).

  • Experience marketing serverless platforms, FaaS tools, or developer workflows built on event-driven or ephemeral compute architectures.

  • Ability to translate the value of serverless architectures to both technical and executive audiences, and shape messaging around scalability, efficiency, and developer productivity.

  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills with a talent for simplifying technical concepts.

  • Experience working with product, sales, and customer success teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional collaboration, communication, and presentation abilities.

Attributes We Value

  • Strategic storyteller: You translate technical concepts into narratives that resonate with developers and drive adoption.

  • Positioning pro: You create differentiation that sticks by tying product capabilities directly to developer jobs-to-be-done.

  • Customer-obsessed: You focus on pain points and outcomes to create value that matters.

  • Cross-functional collaborator: You build strong relationships across product, engineering, marketing, and sales.

  • Data-driven: You make decisions grounded in market data, customer feedback, and performance analytics.

  • Bias for action: You ship, learn, and iterate quickly.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
