About the Role

As Principal PMM focused on AI products and capabilities, you will lead product marketing strategy for Actian's database, data intelligence, and business intelligence portfolio. This is a high-impact role that combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring deep technical understanding and the ability to message AI/ML concepts, LLMs, and agent frameworks (e.g. LangGraph, MCP Servers, Cursor AI) to diverse audiences.
You will be the voice of our AI story in the market, crafting compelling narratives and content that differentiate Actian as a strategic AI partner. This role is critical to our expansion into the rapidly growing agentic AI and automation ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Positioning, Messaging, & Content
- Develop differentiated messaging, value propositions, and assets for Actian’s AI-based products and technologies with a focus on agents and orchestration, agent activity tracking, security/compliance enforcement, and business impact analytics
- Partner with R&D and SE teams to translate engineering concepts into user-centric messaging and narratives for technical and business audiences
- Partner with CSM to translate customer success into compelling assets and product stories that build trust and accelerate adoption
- Develop demand generation content that resonates with technical and non-technical audiences
- Customize value proposition, messaging, and buyer journey content per ICP
- Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution
- Execute launch strategy and bill of materials (BOM) development for AI products
- Map portfolio AI capabilities to end-user problems and business initiatives
- Create sales plays and campaigns that drive adoption and pipeline impact
- Build and deliver internal enablement materials and training: product tours, email cadences, pitch decks, datasheets, and demo scripts
- Create messaging and content for cross-sell expansion programs within the Actian portfolio
- Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence
- Monitor competitive landscape and provide strategic recommendations for product positioning and PM roadmap input
- Conduct market research to identify emerging growth opportunities in ML, edge computing, and robotics partnerships
- Contribute to technical competitive differentiation and market expectations for AI-driven automation
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years’ PMM experience in enterprise software with a focus on data, analytics, cloud, SaaS, or adjacent technologies
- 1-2 years’ PMM experience owning AI/ML products with hands-on experience deploying or running AI agents or AL/ML workflow automations
- Strong understanding of AI/ML ecosystem and trends including AI data analysts, MCP servers, LangGraph, vector databases, RAG, and LLM applications
- Exceptional storytelling ability with talent for translating technical features into business value
- Experience with free trials and product-led sales growth models
- Technical background preferred
