This role oversees the transition of LastPass consumer and business products into a PLG powerhouse, with a fixation on value attainment, conversion rates and fostering expanding user engagement with LastPass.  In doing so, you will partner up to create product experiences that delight our customers and develop a best-in-class monetization platform used across the company.

You are a perfect fit if you are data-driven, experienced obsessed, have a deep understanding of product development as well as love playing on a team that wins together.

If you are passionate about complex problem solving and motivated by scale, then this is the role for you!

Who will you work with?

Please note: While this position is remote, we prefer candidates who can work EST or CST hours to ensure alignment with business needs.

In this role, you will be part of the core product team and collaborate heavily across the company, including with others in growth marketing, user experience design, engineering, sales, customer success and finance. You will align stakeholders by shining a light on the key outcomes that fuel growth, eliminate noise and enhance our products and to achieve strong business outcomes with the other leaders.

What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?

  • Work with executives and senior leadership to translate business goals into a product-led growth strategy that will propel the company well into the future.
  • Define the LastPass PLG roadmap, with themes centered around first-value attainment, self-service conversion, enhanced personalization and experimentation and user engagement.
  • Mentor a team of product managers, advocating for and providing guidance on growth frameworks, methodologies, and product strategy
  • Drive improvements across the user journey, using data to identify opportunities, validate hypotheses, and scale successful initiatives
  • Champion PLG product development best practices with engineering and architecture teams to deliver solutions that incorporate best-of-breed segmentation, personalization and reporting capabilities for consumption across the company.
  • Define key north star growth metrics and partner with data science teams to produce executive dashboards measuring optimized product journeys resulting in higher conversion and deeper long-term customer engagement.

What does it take to work at LastPass?

  • Experience in product management.
  • Proven track record driving significant user and revenue growth in a leading B2B or B2C SaaS product portfolio.
  • Mastery of product management critical capabilities including complex, multiphase roadmaps with a broad stakeholder base.
  • Hands-on experience working with core engineering teams to articulate product requirements, set clear priorities and navigate through ambiguity to deliver right-sized outcomes.
  • A passion for collaboration and the ability to clearly communicate and evangelize across a dynamic organization with multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, and data-driven decision making.  Experience with growth modeling and quantitative analysis.
  • An expert with different growth models (freemium, free trial, flywheel) and thorough experience with the vendor ecosystem that may enrich LastPass’ tools (analytics & engagement, CDPs & segmentation, content management, developer tools).

It's great, but not required:

  • Background in computer science, product development or equivalent engineering
  • Previous experience at companies known for exceptional product-led growth
  • Background in cybersecurity

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
