About the Role

We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on product leader to define and scale the future of Marketing Technology at SoFi - powered by AI.

This is a high-impact role at the center of SoFi’s growth engine, responsible for driving member acquisition, engagement, and retention in support of our mission to help people get their money right. You won’t just build tools - you’ll reimagine how modern marketing works, using AI to automate, personalize, and scale experiences in ways that weren’t previously possible.

You’ll own the vision end-to-end: from defining the next generation of AI-driven marketing platforms to delivering best-in-class experiences for both members and marketers. This includes building intelligent systems that can autonomously create, optimize, and orchestrate campaigns at scale—unlocking step-function improvements in growth efficiency.

We’re looking for someone who sets bold direction, moves with urgency, and drives outcomes. You’ll act as a strong customer advocate, while influencing across the company to deliver cohesive, high-quality experiences.

This role is deeply cross-functional. You’ll partner closely with engineering, marketing, data science, design, operations, finance, risk, legal, and executive leadership to translate strategy into execution—bridging business goals with technical innovation to drive durable, profitable growth.

What You’ll Do
  • Define and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for SoFi’s next-generation Marketing Technology platform - deeply infused with AI
  • Lead the shift to AI-powered marketing: automating campaign creation, optimizing decisioning, and delivering real-time personalization at scale
  • Identify where to build vs. buy, shaping a modern, flexible, and cost-efficient MarTech stack
  • Build “leapfrog” capabilities—AI-driven systems that dramatically improve speed, efficiency, and member experience
  • Own and drive a multi-year roadmap, translating vision into shipped products with measurable business impact
  • Partner cross-functionally to align on priorities, execute against goals, and deliver end-to-end experiences
  • Communicate strategy, progress, and insights to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • 7–10 years of product management experience, ideally in MarTech or AdTech
  • Proven track record of building and scaling complex, cross-functional platforms
  • Experience leveraging AI to drive product innovation and business outcomes
  • Operator mindset: able to set strategy and execute in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication and executive presence
  • Data-driven decision making and strong analytical instincts
  • Deep customer empathy—you consistently advocate for what’s best for the user

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
