Principal Product Manager – Global Distribution Systems (GDS)

Role Summary
 

We are seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead our Global Distribution Systems (GDS) product line, a critical component of our connectivity ecosystem for luxury and ultra-luxury hotels. This role combines strategic ownership with deep technical expertise to define product vision, drive roadmap execution, and ensure profitability. You will manage relationships with major GDS providers (Sabre, Amadeus, Travelport) and work directly with enterprise customers such as Hyatt, Wyndham, and Louvre Hotels. As a senior individual contributor reporting to the Sr. Director of Product Management, you will act as the company’s subject matter expert for GDS, influencing internal and external stakeholders at the highest level.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and Execute Product Strategy – Develop and communicate a clear product vision and long-term roadmap for GDS connectivity.
  • Profitability & P&L Accountability – Own financial performance for the GDS product line, optimizing pricing, cost structures, and revenue growth.
  • Manage Strategic Partnerships – Serve as the primary product liaison with Sabre, Amadeus, and Travelport, negotiating priorities and driving joint initiatives.
  • Enterprise Customer Engagement – Build strong relationships with senior leaders at major hotel groups, acting as a trusted advisor and product expert.
  • Technical Leadership – Understand GDS APIs, connectivity standards, and integration workflows to guide development and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Backlog Ownership & Delivery – Prioritize features, manage the development backlog, and ensure timely delivery of high-impact initiatives.
  • Market Analysis & Innovation – Stay ahead of industry trends, identify opportunities for differentiation, and champion new capabilities.
     

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8–10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in travel technology or distribution systems.
  • Proven experience managing complex integrations and APIs.
  • Strong understanding of GDS connectivity standards and hotel distribution workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage strategic partnerships and influence external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence for engaging senior leaders.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen for profitability management.
  • Experience working in agile development environments.
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with hospitality technology platforms or travel distribution ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with enterprise SaaS and global connectivity standards.
  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
     

KPIs / Success Metrics

  • Revenue growth and profitability of the GDS product line.
  • Customer satisfaction and retention among enterprise hotel partners.
  • Integration performance and uptime with GDS providers.
  • Delivery of roadmap milestones on time and within budget.
