You will make an impact:

At eClinical Solutions, we are building the future of clinical trials through intelligent automation and AI-first design. We’re looking for a bold and outcome-driven Principal Product Manager, AI & Innovation to lead the next wave of transformation across our platform. In this role, you will drive strategy and execution for AI-enabled capabilities that span multiple product lines.

You’ll be responsible for identifying high-impact opportunities where AI can unlock new value for our users, crafting bold visions for smarter workflows, and turning those visions into reality through world-class product execution. You’ll collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, UX designers, and domain experts to deliver innovative, responsible AI solutions that deliver human-centric AI solutions that transform the way clinical teams interact with their data.

This role is equal parts strategist, technologist, and builder with high visibility. It is perfect for a modern product leader with a passion for elegant user experiences, deep curiosity about applied AI, and a drive to push the boundaries of what’s possible.

Your day to day:

Lead AI Strategy & Vision Across Product Lines

  • Define and champion the cross-product strategy for AI capabilities within the elluminate platform
  • Identify use cases where machine learning, NLP, and generative AI can revolutionize data workflows, insights, and automation
  • Partner with data science and engineering leads to assess feasibility, define success metrics, and shape responsible implementation approaches
  • Stay current on emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and healthcare-specific applications to inform long-term vision.

Drive Innovation from Concept to Launch

  • Lead product discovery and experimentation to validate AI-driven concepts with users and stakeholders
  • Define initiative roadmaps, epics, and releases that cut across multiple teams and product areas
  • Create compelling product narratives and prototypes that show what the future of clinical data management could look like
  • Collaborate with UX to design intuitive and trustworthy user experiences that maximize the value of AI.

Mentor, Influence, and Inspire

  • Coach Product Managers and Product Owners working on AI-related capabilities to ensure aligned execution and shared standards
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with engineering, data science, UX, and commercial teams to scale AI delivery
  • Act as a thought leader internally and externally—shaping how we talk about intelligent automation and value-driven AI
  • Influence senior stakeholders and executive leadership on the strategic role of AI in the future of our platform.

Measure Success & Deliver Value

  • Define outcome-driven success metrics that go beyond model performance—focused on business impact and user adoption
  • Ensure compliance with ethical AI practices, transparency standards, and regulatory considerations relevant to clinical trials
  • Constantly iterate on solutions using user feedback and data to refine functionality, design, and performance.
  • Establish and maintain frameworks for AI lifecycle management, including drift detection, auditability, and human-in-the-loop feedback systems.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or life sciences field required; advanced degree in AI, Data Science, or Human-Computer Interaction is a plus
  • 7–10 years of experience in software product management, including ownership of AI-powered or data-driven solutions
  • Demonstrated success integrating ML/AI into B2B software products, ideally in regulated or high-stakes industries
  • Experience leading strategic initiatives that span product teams and functional disciplines

Professional Skills:

  • Creative, visionary thinker with a bias toward experimentation and action
  • Skilled at simplifying complexity and telling stories that bring future-state concepts to life
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making decisions in emerging technology areas
  • Strong communicator who builds trust with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike
  • Committed to ethical innovation, responsible AI, and inclusive design principles

Technical & Domain Skills:

  • Familiarity with applied machine learning, LLMs, MLOps, and AI integration patterns in modern cloud architectures
  • Experience working in data-rich domains—ideally healthcare, life sciences, or enterprise analytics platforms
  • Understanding of clinical trial workflows, data standards (e.g., CDISC), and relevant regulatory frameworks is a strong plus
  • Passion for creating breakthrough user experiences with AI as a partner in decision-making, not just a backend feature

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
