- Work with Data Center Operations technical operations teams to plan and support facility installations, expansions, retrofits, upgrades, platform refreshes, cutovers, commissioning, and operational turnover.
- Coordinate with facility engineering, construction, vendors, and regional operations teams to ensure integrations meet defined standards, testing requirements, support models, and operational readiness criteria.
- Develop end-to-end designs spanning field devices, EPMS/BMS platforms, industrial protocols, edge connectivity, Ignition SCADA, messaging services, operational data platforms, cloud services, APIs, and consuming applications.
- Engineer and support secure edge-to-cloud telemetry and client data delivery patterns using Azure-based messaging and integration services.
- Design and govern telemetry models, namespace and tag structures, alarming strategies, data normalization, quality indicators, buffering and delivery patterns, and integration interfaces.
- Define engineering standards for availability, redundancy, monitoring, backup and recovery, capacity, patching, upgrades, certificate management, cybersecurity, and platform lifecycle management.
- Lead technical evaluations, proofs of concept, factory and site acceptance testing, commissioning, operational readiness reviews, and production turnover activities.
- Support the expansion of Ignition capabilities into BMS-related monitoring and integration use cases while maintaining Data Center Operations ownership of facility operation and control.
- Evaluate design alternatives and commercial technologies across performance, availability, scalability, security, operational complexity, lifecycle supportability, delivery needs, and cost.
- Troubleshoot failures involving facility-system interfaces, industrial networks, SCADA applications, messaging services, data pipelines, and enterprise or customer integrations, and drive durable corrective actions.
- Create and maintain solution designs, engineering diagrams, interface specifications, configuration standards, test plans, commissioning procedures, runbooks, and technical decision records.
