The Global Comms & Corporate Marketing team is looking for a Principal Motion & Graphic Designer to join our team and help us create engaging and visually stunning motion graphics for our global communications campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of graphic design, typography and motion design principles. They will be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite; After Effects, and Premier Pro (knowledge of 3D is a plus). They will also be able to take concepts from initial brief through to final execution.

This is a remote role open to US locations

  • Create motion graphics for a variety of marketing and communications materials, including digital marketing campaigns, social media posts and video series, and corporate events

  • Responsible for account management, traffic coordination, quality assurance, and budget management

  • Collaborate with team members to understand their needs and translate them into compelling and strategic graphics

  • Manage third party design agencies and/or consult in support of business objectives

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 10+ years of experience in graphic design, visual communications or motion design (OR Associate's Degree with 8+ years experience OR Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five years of agency/in-house experience in motion design

  • Expert knowledge of Adobe creative suite, including After Effects and Premier Pro

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Experience with animating, editing, color grading, and sound design for video

  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality visual experiences

  • Graphic design print experience, 3D animation, strong understanding of brand style guides and ability to apply them to create innovative designs and Healthcare industry and/or agency experience is advantageous.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$107,200.00 - $160,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
