You will be joining as a Senior Manager for the Central Pubsports Insights team, which supports the PubSports organization at Riot that includes all the teams in Publishing, Esports, Player Platform etc. You will lead and support our Insighters in leveraging data and competitive intelligence to inform the strategic direction of high opportunity areas within PubSports. Your team will create a technical foundation for timely, high-quality insights, collaborating with game insights leadership to facilitate their reporting needs as well as cross-Pubsports measurement systems. Your scientific skill set, strong communication skills, organizational rigor, and leadership capabilities will ensure that we have a high-functioning Insights team that can help our PubSports partners and stakeholders make data informed decisions. 

Responsibilities:
  • Define, centralize, and steward KPI systems and dashboards across game teams and Pubsports functions.
  • Operationalize cross-game segmentation models and player journey frameworks in combination with Ecosystem Insights, Pubsports game-oriented leads, and additional cross functional teams.
  • Partner closely with data engineering as an embedded function to implement scalable pipelines and integrations for content and platform performance tracking, including implementing AI and automation experimentation to improve speed and quality of reporting as needed.  
  • Identify as well as investigate key problem or opportunity spaces and formulate recommendations and strategies for whether and how to pursue these.
  • Collaborate with initiative producers and Insights teams to understand the product context and steward changes on the ground.
  • Serve as an analytics craft expert across Pubsports insights, including looking for ways to uplevel and upskill the team, bringing new methodologies and expertise areas to the group, and holding a strong craft bar for quality of skill sets.
  • Lead a high-performing team of Insighters, championing craft standards, collaboration, and strategic problem-solving across Riot’s Insights organization
Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years experience in data analytics, business strategy, management consulting, or related fields.
  • 3+ years experience in a leadership role. 
  • Proven experience designing and scaling KPI frameworks and experimentation systems in a matrixed or otherwise complex environment. 
  • Applied experience in large-scale data analysis, such as significance testing, clustering (e.g., k-means, latent class analysis), regressions, propensity score matching, and other advanced statistical methods as needed.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL, Python/R, data modeling, and dashboarding tools (e.g. Tableau, Hex).
  • Experience working with data engineering, product leadership, publishing teams, and senior stakeholders to align on metrics and delivery.
  • Strong executive communication skills with a demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership. Proven ability to present to and partner with both technical and non-technical audiences, including data engineering teams and senior management.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with AI/ML models for workflow optimization and automation.
  • Graduate degree in analytics, statistics, engineering, or related field.
