**Travel to Office expectations**
For Remote Roles: If this role is remote, there will be in-office events that will require travel to and from the Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City office. These will include, but not limited to, onboarding, team events, semi-annual and annual team meetings.

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Architecture, the Principal Enterprise Architect will play a crucial role in shaping and optimizing our technology landscape. This position involves collaborating closely with business leaders, contributing to the strategic vision of the Enterprise Architecture practice, and ensuring the alignment of technology initiatives with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
•Execute the strategic vision for the Enterprise Architecture practice under the guidance of leadership.
•The Enterprise Architect aligns to one or more of PointClickCare’s major business areas and will be responsible for leading enterprise architecture work across business, solution, application, data, and technology domains.
•Actively participate in the Architecture Review Board (ARB) to contribute to sound technology decisions and minimize technology debt.
•Architect and develop agentic IT capabilities that enhance business operations, workload orchestration, and user-facing automation.
•Evaluate and rationalize the application portfolio, recommending retirements, consolidations, or replacements as needed.
•Define and enforce application architecture standards and guidelines.
•Provide guidance on the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, scalable, and maintainable technology architecture.
•Contribute to producing target state solution architectures, conducting architectural assessments and gap analyses, and shaping the overall solution strategy and roadmap.
•Partner with data architect(s) to support data management practices, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance.
•Partner with integration architect(s) to support integration strategies ensuring seamless communication and data flow across various systems.
•Work closely with solution architects to ensure that individual solutions align with the overall enterprise architecture.
•Collaborate with business leaders to create business capability models that align technology capabilities with business needs.
•Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to leverage new technologies.
•Capability to demonstrate and evaluate AI solutions via experimental methods
•Contribute to building a vibrant "learning community" within the enterprise architecture discipline, fostering continuous improvement and consistently delivering value to various business units.
Required Experience & Skills:
•Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
•Proven experience of 5+ years as an Enterprise Architect, demonstrating a solid understanding of relevant areas
•Experience with planning and leading architecture delivery for large-scale business and systems transformation programs is a must
•Technical experience and knowledge in foundational security, foundational AI, architecture design is a plus
•Experience with Marketing and Sales technologies including Marketo and Salesforce
•Familiarity with TOGAF/EA methodologies, ITSM/ITIL process design, cloud strategy, Agile framework, and security frameworks
•Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, CISSP and Public Cloud certification(s) such as Azure, AWS, GCP
•Proven track record of successfully leading large scale initiatives from concept to delivery in various AI Platforms like Micosoft CoPilot, Salesforce Agentforce
•Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication skills
•Previous roles with a focus on data architecture, application or solution architecture, integration, risk management, and technology standards
•Proven experience in defining and implementing comprehensive technology governance frameworks.
•Demonstrated expertise in enterprise data management and application portfolio management.
•Strong understanding of security architecture principles and practices.
•Hands-on experience with cloud strategy development and implementation.
•Proven experience in business capability modeling and translating business needs into technology solutions.
