Lead requirements analysis, design full-stack systems with agentic AI, develop cloud-native services, mentor teams, and integrate AI-driven components.
About Saviynt & This Role
Saviynt’s Enterprise Identity Cloud empowers organizations to transform digitally while maintaining top-tier security and compliance. We’re seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer to elevate our platform with agentic AI capabilities—smart systems that think, adapt, and act beyond traditional interfaces.
Join a collaborative, global R&D team dedicated to building the future of identity intelligence—ones that reason, anticipate, and deliver outcomes autonomously while ensuring transparency, controllability, and enterprise-grade reliability.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead requirements analysis, software architecture, and design for full-stack systems infused with agentic AI components.
Develop scalable, secure cloud-native (AWS/Azure/GCP) services combining REST/microservices, modern frontend frameworks, and AI-driven decision logic.
Implement autonomous modules capable of planning, proactive actuation, and continuous learning.
Integrate explainability, feedback loops, and safe-guard mechanisms into agentic behaviors.
Drive best practices in coding standards, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and DevOps workflows.
Mentor and lead engineers in building trustworthy, agentic systems while championing Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Collaborate cross-functionally to align AI behaviors with security, privacy, UX, and compliance goals.
Document development lifecycle, maintain existing services, and originate new agentic capabilities.
What You Bring
12+ years in software engineering including backend: Java/Spring or Node.js, REST, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Frontend experience: React, TypeScript, CSS, UI component libraries, accessibility, and emerging micro-frontend architecture (preferred)
Cloud platforms experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP), DevOps, observability, CI/CD pipelines.
Prior involvement with AI/ML systems, ideally including autonomous or agentic behavior design, prompt engineering, reinforcement learning, or rule-based reasoning systems.
Comfortable balancing reactive and proactive systems and integrating human-in-the-loop control and transparency.
Leadership & Domain Knowledge
Proven record leading engineering teams—planning, mentoring, delivering complex enterprise solutions.
Excellent communication and consensus-building skills; able to explain sophisticated AI behavior clearly.
Proactive, customer-centric mindset: able to ask “what could this agent do next?” rather than simply “what did the user ask?”
Familiarity with Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), or Connector frameworks is a strong plus
Soft Skills & Qualifications
Adaptability in fast-paced, changing environments.
Keen attention to ethical and responsible AI practices, especially around autonomy and security.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Why Saviynt & This Role Matters
You’ll be at the forefront of AI-first enterprise security, pioneering systems that transcend reactive automation—think proactive identity defense, self-adjusting access controls, and autonomous compliance workflows.
Impactful innovation: play a defining role in shaping AI-driven identity platforms.
Technical leadership: blend architecture, full-stack development, and agentic AI.
Growth environment: join a high-growth, platform-led company delivering real value to enterprise customers.
Inclusive culture: collaborative, supportive, and mission driven.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene
Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.
Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech
- Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
- Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
- Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
- Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
- Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
- Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
