This role blends deep practical knowledge of industrial electrical systems with strategic collaboration across hardware, software, and data teams. You will own the electrical analysis portion of our technology from early research and validation through product integration and ongoing evolution into scalable, customer-ready capabilities.

  • Electrical Systems Expertise: Act as the company’s expert in industrial power systems and electrical behavior. Apply a strong understanding of industrial power systems and electrical behavior to guide measurement approaches and inform system design.
  • Multi-Sensor Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical data complements other sensing inputs within the AssetWatch platform, enabling more comprehensive diagnostic insights.
  • System Design and Validation: Lead the research, design, and validation of electrical measurement strategies that are accurate, reliable, and adaptable to real-world industrial environments.
  • Data Interpretation and Insights: Develop and maintain practical frameworks that translate electrical signals into meaningful indicators of asset behavior, including operating conditions, performance trends, emerging faults, and actionable corrective guidance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with hardware, software, and UX contributors to align technical capabilities with product objectives.
  • Program and Product Collaboration: Partner with program and product managers to translate technical requirements into product deliverables, milestones, and feature integrations.
  • Industrial Application Understanding: Ensure electrical approaches are resilient and field-ready, accounting for the variability and challenges of industrial power systems.
  • Lifecycle Ownership: Support the full lifecycle of electrical monitoring technology from early research and validation through product release and scaling, ensuring consistency across phases.
  • Future Expansion: Support long-term development as AssetWatch expands into broader electrical applications, including new measurement types, asset classes, and energy-related use cases.
  • Research and Continuous Improvement: Stay current on emerging technologies, measurement techniques, and reliability practices that can enhance AssetWatch’s multi-sensor platform.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
