We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead the design and development of our Graph Intelligence Platform, mentor engineering teams, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver business-critical services across the company.
In this role, you will manage and grow a team of talented engineers while playing a key role in advancing Socure’s identity infrastructure to power the next generation of products at the company.
What you'll do:Technical Leadership:Lead the architectural design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and secure graph intelligence solutions.
Provide mentorship and guidance to engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and coaching.
Establish and enforce best practices in software and data engineering, including coding, testing, and deployment.
Design and implement solutions using modern technologies, with a focus on serverless architectures and managed services on AWS, including APIs running at thousands of TPS, and modern graph databases to model complex data relationships.
Review high-quality code to ensure system performance, maintainability, and scalability.
Implement robust testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery of data products.
Establish program management tools and mechanisms to drive project execution across multiple organizations.
Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, all the way up to the C-level.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Data Science, Infrastructure) to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
Partner with legal and security teams to ensure compliance with PII handling, security, and regulatory requirements.
Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in big data, graph databases, and cloud computing.
Propose and implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance data and graph platform performance and cost-efficiency.
Contribute to open-source projects and represent Socure in technical communities.
What you bring:
Education and Experience:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of professional experience in data engineering and/or graph engineering including 5+ years in a management or lead role.
Proven ability to lead and grow high-performing technical teams.
Expertise in building large-scale data solutions in modern cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and one or more of Java, Scala, or Go.
Strong experience with data lakes, data warehouses, and streaming frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink).
Hands-on experience with graph databases and algorithms (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, or OrientDB).
Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and data structures.
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a user-centric approach to technology development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Experience in building large-scale graph intelligence systems using modern technologies.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and regulatory compliance.
Contributions to open-source projects or publications in technical journals.
Deep understanding of graph algorithms and data processing techniques.
