DIRECTV is seeking a Principal Analyst of Ecommerce to gather, analyze, and interpret data on the performance of our website and other digital properties. The Ecommerce Analytics team ensures that our data is complete and accurate, creates automated reporting, and conducts ad-hoc analysis to understand user behavior and assists the organization in making data-led decisions to improve performance.

Here's what you’ll do:

  • Create Dashboards and conduct analysis of business performance and user behavior on the DIRECTV website and other digital properties using various analytics tools, including PowerBI, Google Analytics, and Quantum Metric.
  • Analyze business performance and conduct research to explain variances in performance versus our operational plan and to uncover opportunities for improvement.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to use analysis to identify friction points in the online customer journey and make data-supported recommendations for website changes to improve customer experience and conversion rates.
  • Provide technical expertise and write custom queries (SQL) to gather and structure data to enable automated reporting in PowerBI and to prepare data for advanced analytics techniques.
  • Identify and research opportunities to leverage Artificial Intelligence to improve efficiencies and expand the capabilities of the Ecommerce Analytics team.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in data collection, ETL, and dashboard design to ensure data quality while also enabling advanced segmentation of our data.
  • Serve as the liaison between business and IT teams to gather and translate business requirements into robust technical solutions for addressing data quality issues and creating new data types for analysis.
  • Developing and presenting learnings from your analyses, including actionable insights and recommendations.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative fields (Math, Engineering, Computer science, Business) and/or Marketing. MBA or Equivalent Masters degree preferred.
  • 5 – 7 years of relevant experience in the following:
  • Demonstrated experience with analytical and reporting tools, including PowerBI, Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Tableau, MS Excel.
  • Robust experience in the analysis of user behavior on websites, with preference for experience analyzing consumer-oriented eCommerce websites.
  • Good understanding of digital marketing tactics (SEO/SEM, Display, Affiliate sites, Social media campaigns, email, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of database design and ETL methodologies, with preference for experience in Snowflake.
  • Ability to read and write SQL queries to gather, aggregate, and structure data to enable analysis across a wide range of use cases and analytical approaches.
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; ability to clearly explain complicated concepts.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

DIRECTV WAGE ZONES: $127,965 - $232,415

Low (N1): $127,965 - $191,995

Mid (N2): $134,700 - $202,100

High (N3): $148,170 - $222,310

Top (N4): $154,905 - $232,415
