As a Principal Cybersecurity Architect at JPMorgan Chase specializing in AI/ML, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our AI/ML initiatives within the Global Banking line of business. Your security and AI/ML expertise will guide the secure design and deployment of AI systems and frameworks, aligning to compliance standards and mitigating risk. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive secure AI development practices and protect our strategic technology direction.
Job responsibilities
  • Advises cross-functional teams on technology adoption and decisions to achieve target state cybersecurity on improvements to current cybersecurity parameters
  • Provide expert guidance on AI-specific security considerations as part of production release processes
  • Conduct specialized threat modeling for AI applications using STRIDE methodology, defining new guidance as technology risks evolve
  • Develops roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities
  • Creates scalable frameworks on the public cloud for new system design patterns and process templates
  • Serves as the function's go-to subject matter expert and drives thought leadership within the product line
  • Develop security standards and best practices for MLOps and AI system deployment
  • Contributes to the development of technical methods in cybersecurity in line with the latest product development methodologies
  • Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that improves velocity and quality of output across teams and functions
  • Mentor and upskill team members on AI security principles and methodologies
  • Participant in the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering* concepts and 10+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience in cybersecurity architecture that can be applied and reused across businesses, functions, and systems
  • Fluent in one or more programming languages
  • Strong technical understanding of AI/ML concepts, frameworks, and development processes
  • Experience conducting threat modeling (STRIDE or similar) for complex AI systems
  • Deep knowledge of one or more; software, infrastructure, or applications
  • Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes with considerable, in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., public cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex AI security concepts to diverse stakeholders. Ability to present and effectively communicate with senior leaders and executives
  • Understanding of the business and knowledgeable of latest risk trends in the internal and external environments
  • Practical cloud native experience
