About Juniper Square

Our mission is to unlock the full potential of private markets. Privately owned assets like commercial real estate, private equity, and venture capital make up half of our financial ecosystem yet remain inaccessible to most people. We are digitizing these markets, and as a result, bringing efficiency, transparency, and access to one of the most productive corners of our financial ecosystem. If you care about making the world a better place by making markets work better through technology – all while contributing as a member of a values-driven organization – we want to hear from you.

Juniper Square offers employees a variety of ways to work, ranging from a fully remote experience to working full-time in one of our physical offices. We invest heavily in digital-first operations, allowing our teams to collaborate effectively across 27 U.S. states, 2 Canadian Provinces, India, Luxembourg, and England. We also have physical offices in San Francisco, New York City, Mumbai and Bangalore for employees who prefer to work in an office some or all of the time.

About your role

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Total Rewards & People Operations to lead the design and delivery of our global rewards strategy and people operations function. This senior leader will ensure our compensation, benefits, and people programs are competitive, compliant, scalable, and aligned with our business objectives as we continue to grow and prepare for IPO readiness.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team and People leadership, drive operational excellence across our People systems and processes, and manage and develop a high-performing team.

What you’ll do

Total Rewards Strategy & Execution

  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of global compensation and benefits programs, including base pay, variable pay, equity, and executive compensation.

  • Partner with the CEO, CFO, and People leadership on executive compensation and IPO readiness, including governance, disclosure requirements, and evolving equity practices.

  • Conduct ongoing market benchmarking and analysis to ensure programs remain competitive and aligned with our talent strategy.

  • Oversee the annual compensation cycle (merit, promotions, bonus, and equity refresh) with rigor and fairness.

People Operations Leadership

  • Own and evolve our global People Operations function, ensuring best-in-class employee experience across the entire lifecycle.

  • Oversee core processes including onboarding/offboarding, HRIS data integrity, payroll, compliance, policy development, and employee records management.

  • Implement scalable systems, tools, and workflows to streamline People operations and enable self-service.

  • Ensure compliance with employment, benefits, and compensation regulations across all current and future geographies.

  • Partner with IT, Finance, and Legal to drive cross-functional alignment and operational excellence.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Total Rewards & People Operations team.

  • Act as a thought partner and advisor to senior leaders on compensation, benefits, and people practices.

  • Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience in total rewards, compensation, benefits, and/or people operations, ideally in a high-growth technology company.

  • Demonstrated expertise in global compensation practices (U.S., India, Europe) and executive compensation.

  • Experience preparing a company for IPO readiness, including governance and disclosure requirements.

  • Strong track record of scaling People Operations in multi-national organizations.

  • Skilled at leveraging systems and technology (e.g., HRIS, payroll, equity platforms) to optimize operations.

  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to translate data into insights and recommendations.

  • Strong leadership presence and executive communication skills.

Compensation

Compensation for this position includes a base salary, bonus, equity, and a variety of benefits. For the U.S. the total annual cash compensation (base salary + bonus) ranges from $280,000 to $350,000. Actual base salaries will be based on candidate-specific factors, including experience, skillset, and location, and local minimum pay requirements as applicable.

  • Life insurance

  • Mental wellness coverage

  • Fertility and growing family support

  • Flex Time Off in addition to company paid holidays

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
