As Memory Design Group CAD Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be working in a collaborative, production support role evaluating, developing enhancing and debugging both in-house and commercial Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and flows for the physical layout and design of CMOS integrated circuits. You will work closely with the Design, Layout teams, supporting their use of electronic design automation tools and methodologies to increase design and layout productivity and work efficiency.

You will work closely with the Design, Layout teams, supporting their use of electronic design automation tools and methodologies to increase design and layout productivity and work efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Developing tools, flows, and methodologies to increase the productivity and reliability of our Memory designs
- Integrate commercial EDA (Electronic Design Automation) tools into design flows
- Providing training, documentation, and support to end users on new tools and methods
- Working closely with design, layout, verification and process teams
- Track and solve issues
- Undertake Independent Research and Development of Next-Generation CAD Software to Meet Product Development Needs
- Identify deficiencies of current tools and flows
- Understand EDA industry product offerings and trends, and opportunities for gaining performance and efficiency
- Evaluate tools with internal customers
- Define possible flows for improvement of efficiency and cost
- Develop, maintain and support the engineering infrastructure
- Maintain all aspects of design infrastructure at optimum level
- Provide support and training of the design environment
Qualifications:
- Strong programming fundamentals with required experience in Unix and shell scripting.
- Good knowledge of CMOS circuits, deep-submicron physical design, CMOS manufacturing, and layout design rules.
- Experience with layout flows such as Calibre DRC/LVS, floorplanning, automated P&R, and SPF extraction.
- Experience with design simulation tools and languages including Verilog, Verilog-A, ncverilog, VCS, Spice/FastSpice, FineSim/PrimeSim, and HSPICE.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills; fluent in English for effective collaboration with global teams.
- Experience with RTL-to-GDS flows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso DFII and SKILL programming.
- Proficiency with Python and Python Qt frameworks.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in CE/EE/EECS with 5+ years industry experience.
