We are seeking an experienced technology leader to join our Global Technology Strategy & Architecture (GTSA) team as Principal of AI & Data Architecture supporting the Global Client Groups. In this role you will be responsible for helping set the strategy for AI & Data for the Global Sales and Marketing organization. You will partner with leaders and peers to influence and define strategic technology direction, target state solutions, and develop technology roadmaps, ensuring it is aligned with Capital Group’s IT and security strategy.

 

The successful candidate will be able to work across a highly cross-functional organization, establish trust and credibility with stakeholders, organize and coordinate design workshops, and influence senior leaders on the strategy. Additionally, you will partner with domain and platform teams to determine roadmaps, trade-offs, proof-of-concepts and provide thought leadership on emerging trends that align technology advancements with business priorities. You will ensure architectural standards, scalability, security, and alignment with business domains, playing a key part in Capital Group’s continued transformation and technological leadership.

 

Key Responsibilities Include: 

  • You will drive the AI & Data strategy for the Global Client Groups, encompassing capabilities, technologies, and required investments.  

  • You will establish and maintain architectural standards, reference architectures, and best practices to promote interoperability, scalability, and cost efficiency. 

  • You will collaborate with business and technology leaders to align platform capabilities with organizational objectives and global business domains. 

  • You will ensure the integration of robust security and compliance requirements throughout the design and implementation of technology solutions. 

  • You will partner with cross-functional teams, including the Director of AI & Emerging Technologies Strategy, to evaluate, pilot, and scale emerging innovations. 

  • You will support the adoption of enterprise productivity tools, driving digital workplace transformation and operational efficiency. 

  • You will champion continuous improvement, talent development, and knowledge sharing within the GTSA community. 

  • You will participate in architectural governance processes, including target state reviews and architecture review boards. 

  • You will serve on the Software Engineering Council and contribute to the definition of software engineering practices, processes and standards.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $234,276-$398,269

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
