Job Summary
As a Principal Digital Velocity Enterprise Strategist, you will be the foremost authority on Digital Velocity within our organization. You will define the strategic vision for our Digital Velocity programs and advise executive leadership. You will engage with clients at the highest level, ensuring top-tier Digital Velocity across their operations. You will also drive thought leadership, representing the organization at key industry forums. The primary purpose of this position is to function as a Digital Velocity thought leader and strategist for the CDW Digital Velocity practice. The Principal Enterprise Strategist will take a lead role in identifying, researching, and creating financial impact models in support of rolling out new products and services, as well as partner-adjacent activities to increase reach and revenue. This role will educate and interface with presales and delivery teams on practice offerings, leading and developing transition plans to scale new solutions as a bridge to CDW's R&D Team, and providing guidance to corporate development teams on Digital Velocity market trends and strengths/gaps associated with CDW's capabilities and how/if to close them. What you will do:
* Act as a segment-wide evangelist for transformational technologies (e.g., cloud-native platforms, automation, AI/ML).
* Publish white papers, build reusable IP (frameworks, templates), and deliver external presentations.
* Provide non-billable advisory oversight during delivery of multi-practice solutions to ensure architectural integrity and alignment with intended outcomes.
* Conduct executive-level workshops and multi-practice technology visioning sessions.
* Provide strategic advisory consulting to clients, translating business objectives into technology strategies and actionable roadmaps.
* Guide long-term IT transformation, ensuring scalability, interoperability, and alignment to business outcomes
* Identify opportunities early by spotting emerging technical trends.
What we expect of you:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering and 10+ years of experience in IT architecture and engineering, spanning at least 2-3 technology practice areas OR 14 years of experience in IT architecture and engineering, spanning at least 2-3 technology practice areas.
* 5+ years of experience designing multi-practice solutions for complex customer environments.
* Strong understanding of CDW's portfolio (Cloud, applications, data, security, modern infrastructure, DevOps, SaaS technologies, and AI).
* Proven ability to influence business and IT stakeholders at the executive level.
* Demonstrated success building and delivering enterprise technology roadmaps and digital transformation strategies.
* Certifications across multiple disciplines (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert) preferred.
* Background in vertical-specific architecture (e.g., healthcare, financial services, manufacturing) preferred.
* Strategic Mindset: Anticipates future trends and implications, translates vision into executable strategies preferred.
* Executive Presence: Communicates with confidence and clarity to influence diverse executive audiences preferred.
* Cross-Domain Expertise: Applies a systems-level view to architecting integrated technology solutions preferred.
* Innovation & Agility: Thinks creatively to develop novel solutions and thrives in fast-paced environments preferred.
* Collaborative Leadership: Works seamlessly across sales, engineering, delivery, and partner ecosystems preferred.
* Outcome-Driven: Anchors all recommendations in measurable client value and business impact preferred.
