About the Role:
GoodRx is looking for a Pricing Strategy & Optimization Intern to join the Pricing Strategy team, reporting to the Senior Pricing Analyst of Pricing Strategy & Analytics. This intern will map pharmacy contract terms to claims, group and optimize those claims against market and contractual benchmarks, build a dashboard to track performance, and report on pre- and post-optimization impact.
Responsibilities
Assess contractual pricing framework to define brand and generic definitions, pricing cost basis and pharmacy reimbursement targets.
Map the pricing framework to the claim in redshift to flow into looker
Develop dashboards and visualization to analyze current and historical pricing trends and performance vs target in each contractual reimbursement bucket
Identify drug opportunities for optimization by raising or lowering pricing relative to pharmacy & GoodRx competitors, U&C price or insurance pricing
Establish a pre period for the drug optimization group and measure performance of claims and revenue impact for price increases and decreases relative to benchmarks
Report on performance to contract targets using claims flowing from Redshift -> Looker and the impact/ performance of the pricing optimization
Collaborate cross-functionally with pharmacy strategy, pricing strategy and data teams to present insights and recommendations.
Skills
Extremely curious and motivated
Basic understanding of SQL
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, or Excel).
Ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset.
Required Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor degree, to which you will return in Fall 2026.
Expected Graduation date between May 2027 - June 2028
Able to commit to full time internship program for 12 weeks during summer of 2026
Preferred location: Hybrid in Santa Monica
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation for undergraduate interns is $22.00 per hour
Medical, dental, and vision benefits are available to interns throughout the duration of the internship
