We’re searching for people who are as passionate about working together to represent our quality products and services to the market as we are.As a Pricing expert, you will be working closely with our Product and Services teams to understand our offerings, with the Sales team to communicate those offerings to prospective customers and most importantly with our prospects and customers to help them find solutions to their most challenging business imperatives.
As a member of a team that is known for execution, you will excel in understanding a variety of technical and business process challenges, leading discussions with internal and prospective customer teams and presenting complex solution demonstrations. The position requires a unique blend of P&C insurance pricing and modeling skills, actuarial analysis, technical design, and communication skills.
A willingness to travel up to 30% is required for this role, with some week-to-week variance.
Job Description
Key activities for the Pricing Solution Consultant include:Articulating the functional and technical aspects of our offerings to new and existing clients, including pricing and modeling explanations, interactions with policy administration systems, SaaS components, product architecture, configuration/integration paths, etc. This includes providing demonstrations of our software and configuration tools where appropriate
Supporting the sales team as an expert on Guidewire’s Pricing solutions throughout the sales cycle
Partnering with other Guidewire Solution Consultants for application configuration for detailed product demonstrations (e.g: data model extensions, rules creation) and supporting solution-related conversations during these demonstrations
Responding in writing to questions and requests for information from prospects and analysts
Ability and willingness to constructively and professionally challenge prospects and customers with new approaches
Necessary skills and expertise:
Pricing and modeling
Strong verbal and sales demonstration/presentation skills
Effective and competent writing skills
P&C insurance pricing systems and concepts
Integration mechanisms and patterns
P&C insurance operations knowledge or experience
Proficiency in Python and/or other modern programming languages
Experience with modern P&C insurance systems (ex. Earnix, Akur8)
Experience in Pre-Sales
Familiarity with AI, cloud computing and SaaS industry trends
