Your Team's Impact
The Data Solutions group is responsible for the growth of FactSet’s DataFeed (off-platform) products and solutions. Our aim is to consult & organize our client’s data consumption processes with FactSet proprietary and industry standard delivery solutions.
Pricing and Reference Data (PRD) is foundational data used to identify, describe and value financial instruments, such as stocks, bonds, derivatives, and currencies. PRD is required for workflows across the entire investment process, including trade execution, portfolio management, risk management, compliance, investment accounting and reporting. There is a tremendous market for this area of focus, including expanding into new clients, as well as competitor replacements.
What You'll Do
As a PRD Content SME, you’ll play a critical role in strengthening FactSet’s Pricing and Reference Data offerings by ensuring the depth, quality, and utility of our data content. You will have significant influence over the way clients and internal teams utilize financial instrument data, supporting vital workflows across the investment lifecycle such as including trade execution, portfolio management, risk management, compliance, investment accounting and reporting.
You’ll serve as a subject matter authority on PRD content (including instrument identifiers, pricing, entity reference, symbol cross-referencing, terms and conditions, corporate actions, and derived analytics) and act as a primary resource to both client-facing and product teams. You’ll advocate for best practices, deliver targeted solutions and insights, and champion rigorous standards around our financial data universe.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the internal and external point of expertise for PRD data content, providing guidance on instrument structures, identifiers, data definitions, and quality standards.
- Apply FactSet proprietary coding and screening expertise to support client technical and workflow needs, translating business objectives into data logic and queries.
- Consult with clients, product managers, and engineering teams to advise on PRD content, data enrichment opportunities, and analytic use cases.
- Close collaboration with DSO Implementation and with Level 2 Data Excellence teams.
- Prepare sample files, lead client demonstrations, and assist in complex workflow design using FactSet proprietary technologies and data solutions.
- Proactively identify gaps, enhancements, and trends in financial data and report recommendations to product and data management teams.
- Troubleshoot data issues, reconcile mismatches, and resolve challenges with feed integrations to maintain consistency and reliability.
- Develop training materials and deliver sessions (internal and external) to promote understanding of PRD content, screening logic and optimal workflow integration.
- Deliver ongoing education and mentorship for colleagues and clients—helping them better leverage core PRD capabilities.
- Manage documentation, data standards, and process improvements for PRD content across the organization.
- Contribute to product development initiatives and fact-finding for new data features and content launches.
- Client relationship management.
- Day-to-day client engagement.
