Compensation & Benefits:
  • Base Salary: $50,000 – $53,000 annually (Exempt / Full-Time)
  • Bonus: 5%
  • Location: 100% Remote (U.S. Based)
  • Working Hours: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm (EST)

Job Summary: 

The Pricing Analyst is a key member of the Pricing Team—the team responsible for developing customer savings strategies and driving RoadRunner’s profitability for all prospective accounts. The Pricing Analyst will collect, organize, and utilize a wide variety of information and resources to analyze the expected costs and revenues of potential business relationships.

This role requires the Analyst to quickly develop expertise in the waste & recycling brokering industry. The core function is to analyze every detail of a customer’s operation to achieve cost reduction, waste diversion, and profit growth. Success depends on critical thinking, efficient communication, and creative problem-solving while managing a high volume of concurrent accounts, requiring disciplined multitasking and prioritization. 


Primary Duties:

Core Pricing Analysis & Strategy ~ 50%
●    Conduct detailed financial and operational analyses of vendor-customer relationships to identify clear cost-savings opportunities and drive prospective account profitability.
●    Make accurate cost and revenue projections on prospective opportunities through the thorough review of all available customer, market, and industry data.
●    Utilize RoadRunner’s unique products and services to design optimized waste and recycling management strategies for customers.
●    Collaborate closely with internal teams to increase service efficiency, recycling rates, and profitability for both customers and the company.
●    Execute all required pricing and financial analyses by using and building financial models in spreadsheet software such as Excel and Googlesheets.

Cross-Functional Support & Communication ~ 25%
●    Apply the core team principles of accountability, creative thinking, attention to detail, adaptability, and collaboration to all daily tasks and interactions, fostering a strong, supportive team environment.
●    Communicate proactively and efficiently with Sales to minimize downtime, increase sales velocity, and support the creation of closable, revenue-generating opportunities.
●    Engage with Operations and Marketplace teams to creatively design and support strategies that balance customer savings with company profitability. 
●    Develop foundational internal and external networking skills to build productive relationships that expedite day-to-day task execution and information flow.

Vendor & Market Engagement ~ 15%
●    Build and maintain strong professional relationships with vendors to support the negotiation of material management agreements.
●    Monitor and synthesize key market and industry trends, proactively sharing updated information with team members to ensure pricing quality and efficiency are maintained.

Data Integrity & Process Support ~ 10%
●    Contribute to market data integrity by consistently researching, monitoring, and updating current industry data.
●    Generate quarterly reporting for Sales leadership to provide insights and recommendations for increasing revenue growth.
●    Assist with basic process improvement initiatives and ad hoc projects across the team to enhance operational efficiency and support broader business goals.

Skills and Experience:

  •  0-2 years of experience in an analytical role.
  • Analytical Decision Making: Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills to make prudent, timely decisions and act with sound judgment despite ambiguity or incomplete information

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Excel or similar analytical platforms.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Data Analysis, Supply Chain or similar field of study. An associate degree and/or relevant work experience can be substituted
