Job Type: Full-time | Benefits Included

Location: Onsite – San Diego

Schedule: Weekends + 3 Weekdays

About the Role

Do you thrive in environments where every detail matters and every person who walks through the door deserves a great experience? We're looking for a Preview Events Specialist who is the kind of person guests remember — warm, organized, and genuinely invested in helping others.

As a Preview Events Specialist, you'll be the welcoming presence at our preview workshops for prospective students. You'll keep events running smoothly, ensure attendees feel informed and at ease, and follow up with those who need more support in their registration process. You will work alongside our Preview Presenters, in San Diego, CA, and at remote events around the local area. Your work directly supports people exploring a meaningful next step in their financial education journey.

What You'll Do

Event Coordination & Guest Experience

  • Prepare event spaces for preview workshops

  • Greet and check in attendees, assign seating, and set the tone for a professional, welcoming environment

  • Support presenters and ensure all participants — including online attendees — are comfortable and engaged

  • Help interested participants complete enrollment using digital or paper tools

  • Maintain accurate attendance records and distribute daily event reports in Salesforce

Prospect Follow-Up & Support

  • Answer questions, provide additional information, and support informed enrollment registration

  • Log all communications and tasks in Salesforce

  • Reach out to attendees who expressed interest but were unable to register at the event.

  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail across all responsibilities

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 2+ years in a guest-facing, customer service, or event coordination role

  • Naturally warm and professional presence — you make people feel welcomed and at ease

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in records and follow-through

  • Comfortable in fast-paced, event-day environments

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM

  • Available to work weekends and evenings according to the event schedule.

  • Reliable transportation is necessary; remote events require local regional travel, up to 50%.

Why Join Trading Academy

We're a mission-driven financial education company that believes in empowering people to take control of their financial future. Our preview events are often the first meaningful touchpoint a prospective student has with us — and the team who runs those events shapes that entire first impression.

  • Competitive pay + bonus potential; with comprehensive benefits included

  • Full training provided — we set you up to succeed

  • Collaborative, team-oriented culture

  • Real opportunity to grow within the organization

  • Work that has purpose: you're helping people make life-changing decisions

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
