* Job Summary
* The Manager, Configuration Services Pre-Sales oversees a team of coworkers responsible for designing, growing, implementing, and closing opportunities for Configuration Services. This role will serve as the primary subject matter expert for Pre-Sales engagements, SOW, RFP, RFQ, and other customer engagements. Create a culture that fosters learning and development, and values and rewards both exemplary customer interaction and technical excellence.
* What you will do:
* Manage a team of coworkers, including performance management, coaching and development.
* Collaborate with Sales, GTM, and other Configuration Service stakeholders to develop sales and marketing strategies to grow revenue.
* Manage available resources to maximize short-term initiatives and develop longer term strategic plans in accordance with company goals.
* Mentoring/motivating, training and developing the Pre-Sales coworkers while also growing category metrics and achieving revenue and profit growth.
* Drive profits by increasing high margin business, while bringing additional value to CDW customers
* Identify opportunities for process and strategy improvement for selling CDW Configuration Services solutions while collaborating with other strategic solution groups responsible for developing internal joint offerings.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with sales and work to identify new areas for building sales opportunities
* Serve as the escalation point with customers to close Configuration Services opportunities and resole customer or partner satisfaction issues.
* Contribute to the development and execution of quarterly and annual sales and operations plans.
* Manage monthly and quarterly reporting process using metrics in these reports to better manage the business.
* Work cross-functionally to consistently develop internal and external collarteral for generating customer and sales awareness.
* Develop and maintain strong internal relationships departmentally and working to identify new areas for building Configuration Services sales opportunities.
* Achieve profitable growth at above market rates when possible.
* Create long-term vision and build strategic plans to achieve goals.
* Responsible for hiring, onboarding, development and training of new coworkers. Provide support and long term plans to retain top talent.
* Responsible for developing and growing assigned Book of Business for high revenue customer accounts.
* 30% Sales activities via conference calls, email, video conferences, and in-person meetings
* What we expect of you:
* Located near our Vernon Hills, IL or Las Vegas, NV office a plus
* Bachelor's Degree
* 1 - 2 years' experience managing a team OR 3 years in a senior technical role
* Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders, including senior leadership
* History of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines
* Demonstrated analytical and strategic skills with the ability to creatively problem solve
* Strong organizational skills and solid attention to detail with a penchant for accuracy
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced knowledge of Teams, Excel and PowerPoint
* Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Ability to engage with customers, partners and industry leaders and demonstrate ability to sell value of
* partnering with CDW for Configuration Services related opportunities
* Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% or as needed to other CDW locations or client sites
* Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information
* Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology
* Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize
