Our mission is to help customers grow valuable media brands with their content. Join our diverse group of focused, hardworking professionals who are passionate about doing work that’s challenging and fun — and who strive to maintain a healthy work/life balance.

About the Role

We are seeking a Pre-Sales Consultant to join our team and serve as the bridge between our cutting-edge technology and our prospective clients’ business needs. As a Pre-Sales Consultant, you will become an expert in the Tubular Labs platform, demonstrating its value to some of the world’s largest media companies and brands. You will work closely with our Sales and Product teams to ensure prospects understand how our data can solve their Critical Business Issues (CBIs). This is a foundational role within our Solutions team, ideal for someone with a few years of media experience who is eager to grow their technical sales skills in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Expertise: Become a Tubular Labs platform and customer expert, demonstrating—at both a granular and high level—the value the software provides to prospects.
  • Value Proposition Strategy: Strategically craft effective and compelling value propositions that incorporate prospects’ KPIs to advance the buying process.
  • Demo & Trial Management: Manage the prospect demo and trial process in collaboration with assigned sales representatives, ensuring 100% trial success rates.
  • Product Feedback Loop: Work closely with Product Management to stay current on functionalities and provide feedback based on prospect inquiries and market needs.
  • Qualitative Analysis: Accurately qualify API opportunities and trial requests, presenting the product as a solution rather than a list of features.
  • Metrics Tracking: Track demo and trial-related metrics to further optimize the sales process.
  • Solution Selling: Ask relevant probing questions to validate business issues and frame the Tubular solution in a way that solves for these specific needs.
Who You Are
  • Industry Savvy: You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Finance, or a related field, and 1-3 years of experience within a media company, brand, or related agency environment.
  • Video & Social Enthusiast: You have a deep understanding of and passion for social platforms and the branded video content ecosystem.
  • Strategic Communicator: You can succinctly communicate the business value of Tubular and feel comfortable identifying and working with key stakeholders at prospect accounts to prove ROI.
  • Adaptable & Driven: You enjoy the fast-paced dynamics of a startup environment and are comfortable collaborating with high-energy sales personalities.
  • Technical Translator: You have a strong ability to listen to prospect needs and translate them into specific use cases and functionalities within our platform.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of Media Company, Brand, or related experience preferred.
  • Business fluency in English and Spanish is preferred; proficiency in Portuguese is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of and passion for social platforms and the branded video content ecosystem.
  • Ability to interact with a broad spectrum of companies and learn about their unique business needs.
  • Strong ability to listen to prospect needs and translate them into use cases and functionality within the platform.
  • Comfort working in a sales environment and collaborating with sales personalities.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, start-up company dynamics.
  • Solid understanding of the online-video and media industry.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 401K with company match (100% of the first 3% and 50% of the next 2%)
  • Fully Paid Parental Leave - 18 weeks for birthing parents, 12 weeks for non-birthing parents
  • Phone and internet stipend
  • Wellness, learning, and coworking reimbursements
  • Flexible work hours
  • Unlimited PTO
  • 11 paid holidays and December holiday closure
  • Annual In-Person Event
  • The total on-target earnings (OTE) for this role can be up to $110,000. This includes a base salary and a performance-based bonus tied to company revenue and performance goals. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and location.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
