Pre-Analytical Services Associate

We are seeking a Pre-Analytical Services Associate to join Q2 Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business at Valencia, CA.

The Specimen Receipt and Processing Associate is responsible for assisting with a variety of routine activities associated with receipt and shipment(s) of clinical specimens to designated 3rd party laboratories for testing/storage.

What you’ll be doing:

• Responsible for assisting with specimen shipment to 3rd party labs as part of Same Day Study Set up

• Responsible for the quality check of said shipments prior to courier pick up. Escalates incorrect, missing information, or damaged shipments to senior level staff

• Ensures specimens reconciled to ensure all Same Day samples have been received and stored

• Assists with supply inventory functions and general clean up of workstations

• Performs various administrative duties as required

• Responsible for organizing the work area, as requested by management

• Responsible for following safety procedures

• Participates in continuing education through self-study and attendance of meetings (ie: Learning Edge, SOPS-Smart Solve)

• Performs work in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines

What We Are Looking For:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Basic Computer skills

• Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients

• Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this role:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $33,600.00 - $56,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
