Pre-Analytical Services Associate

We are seeking  a Pre-Analytical Services Associate to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia, CA.

The Specimen Receipt and Processing Associate is responsible for assisting with a variety of routine activities associated with receipt of clinical specimens.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assist with receipt of consignments and shipments

• Open shipments and quality check patient info forms, escalating incorrect, missing information, or damaged shipments to senior level staff

• Ensure correct disposal and/or recycling of kit shipping supplies

• Conduct a secondary check of shipping materials to ensure specimens are not left in kit packaging

• Support and respond to after-hour alarms and/or other job critical functions

• Assist in maintenance of equipment

• Assist with supply inventory functions and general clean-up of workstations

• Perform various administrative duties as required

What we are looking for:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Basic computer skills

• Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients

• Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

The knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this role:

• Strong attention to detail

• Good communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Familiarity with laboratory procedures and protocols

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $33,600.00 - $56,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
