Pre-Analytical Services Assistant

We are seeking a Pre-Analytical Services Assistant to join IQVIA’s laboratory business at Valencia, CA.

Shift: Tuesday-Saturday 10:00 AM- 6:30 PM

In this role, you will assist with routine activities related to the receipt and processing of clinical specimens, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely workflow.

• Assist with receipt of consignments and shipments.
• Open shipments and perform quality checks on patient information forms; escalate issues to senior staff.
• Dispose of or recycle kit shipping supplies appropriately.
• Conduct secondary checks to ensure specimens are not left in kit packaging.
• Support and respond to after-hour alarms and other critical functions.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and supply inventory functions.
• Perform administrative duties and maintain organized work areas.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in continuing education activities.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate reporting procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage workflow effectively.
• Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling specimens and documentation.
• Good organizational and communication skills for team collaboration.
