PowerLine Operations Specialist  

 

Job Summary 

 

The PowerLine Operations Specialist serves as the point of contact for PowerLine switch customers, including both RedSail PMS support teams, non-RedSail PMS switch customers, processors, and other switches, ensuring high-quality service delivery.  

 

Key Duties 

  • Identifies and resolves transaction errors  
  • Works closely with support staff and non-RedSail PMS customers and processors to resolve issues and improve transaction workflow 
  • Provide training and technical support to stakeholders on use, troubleshooting, and best practices for electronic transaction processing 
  • Maintains a working knowledge NCPDP and other relevant standards 
  • Assists in developing and implementing solutions to resolve problems and prevent recurrence 
  • Identifies areas for improvement in current support processes and procedures  
  • Maintains comprehensive records of support activities including issue logs and service requests 
  • Will become knowledgeable in and utilize diverse ERP systems across the RedSail base 
  • Works closely with the NOC to troubleshoot and correct issues 

Education/Training  

  • BS degree in information technology or related field preferred 
  • Experience can be substituted for degree 

 

Required Work Experience/Skills  

  • At least 7 years of experience in a customer support role 
  • Strong knowledge of PMS systems, electronic transaction processing and PBM processes 
  • Previous experience with a pharmacy switch or related role preferred 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment 

 

 

Preferred Work Experience/Skills 

  • Familiarity with industry standards (NCPDP) and other regulatory requirements for the privacy and security of claims data  

 

Discretionary Judgment  

  • Uses independent judgment and discretion based upon the employee’s experience in the position and knowledge of the products, equipment, and services 
  • Uses good judgement and possesses ethical work values 

 

Physical Demands, Working Conditions, and General Employment Guidelines 

  • Moderate or high levels of stress may be experienced in the performance of the job 
  • Position is performed in a general office environment, home office, or approved remote workspace where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting to 25 lbs. 

 

Equipment  

  • Daily use of the Microsoft Teams (phone), computer, printer, and other routine office equipment  
  • Must have internet access 

 

Safety to Self and Others  

  • Little responsibility for the safety of others.  The job is performed in an office setting where there are no hazardous materials or equipment  

 

Working Conditions/Hazards  

  • Position is performed in an open office environment or approved remote work location 

 

 

Salary Range

 

  • $36.05-38.46 Hourly
