Position Overview:
The Postsecondary & State Authorization Specialist is responsible for preparing, submitting, and managing applications for initial approval and renewal of Moreland University's authorization to operate as a postsecondary institution across all U.S. states and territories. This role monitors and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements associated with postsecondary approvals.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare, submit, and monitor applications for initial and renewal of postsecondary authorization.
  • Maintain a tracking system for deadlines, renewal cycles, reporting, and application statuses.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of documentation, forms, and fees.
  • Compile documentation and draft narratives for regulatory responses.
  • Maintain detailed regulatory records including requirements, disclosures, and correspondence.
  • Monitor and communicate regulatory changes associated with postsecondary authorization.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather and verify needed data and information.
  • Complete reporting as required by postsecondary agencies.
  • Communicate updates and risks to the Senior Accreditation Manager.
  • Develop templates, checklists, and standard operating procedures to streamline processes.
  • Identify and implement technology-supported process improvements.
  • Support institutional expansion by researching and securing authorization in new jurisdictions.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in higher education compliance or regulatory affairs.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. postsecondary authorization processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or relevant experience in lieu of degree).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use AI tools to enhance work efficiency (preferred).
