Graham Capital Management, L.P. is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to join our Portfolio Management team. The ideal candidate possesses experience in economic research and will be able to analyze and predict key economic data. The analyst will sit on the trading floor, working alongside a PM with exposure to trade management, idea generation and trade execution. The candidate will have the potential to grow into an assistant PM role with time.
Responsibilities
- Improve and build out spreadsheets to accurately predict key DM economic data covering inflation, the jobs market and other tradable economic releases
- Build out infrastructure to deliver timely analyses post data release
- Monitor key relevant economic data for DM central bank coverage
- Support trade execution, trade management, and risk management as needed
- 3-4+ years’ experience on an economic research team (sell-side, buy-side, or relevant institutions like the Federal Reserve or other DM central bank)
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM related field with demonstrated interest in global macro markets
- Proficient in HAVER, MacroBond, Python, VBA, Bloomberg and working with data in Microsoft Excel
- Proficient in statistical analyses
- Basic coding skills preferred
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Highly motivated and intellectually curious
- Exposure to trade execution platforms
This role requires commuting into our Rowayton, CT office Mondays through Fridays.
Base Salary RangeThe anticipated salary range for this position is $125,000 to $175,000. The anticipated range is based on information as of the time this post was generated and does not include any discretionary bonus or benefits (see eligibility below). The applicable annual salary or hourly rate paid to a successful applicant will be determined based on multiple factors, including without limitation the nature and extent of prior experience, skills, and qualifications. This wage range may be modified in the future.
In addition, the employee who fills this role will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, as well as a wide array of benefit programs, such as medical and life insurance, 401(K) plans, and access to other healthcare programs.
