Job Responsibilities

Global PMO Governance & Methodology

  • Define, maintain, and evolve the global project management methodology, templates, and processes used across all service delivery engagements.
  • Establish a unified project governance model, including project classification, stage gates, risk management, and change control standards.
  • Create and maintain a PMO playbook and enablement materials to drive consistency across regions and partner-led projects.

Delivery Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and implement metrics, dashboards, and KPIs that measure project performance, profitability, delivery efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with regional delivery leaders (Americas, EMEA) and technical practices to identify areas for improvement and drive corrective actions.
  • Monitor adherence to PMO standards and drive continuous improvement through audits, retrospectives, and feedback loops.

Partner Delivery Governance

  • Collaborate with the Partner Enablement & Delivery team to extend PMO standards into partner-delivered projects.
  • Define and enforce partner governance models, including partner onboarding, project oversight, and quality assurance processes.
  • Ensure that partners align with the company’s delivery methodologies, customer experience standards, and reporting expectations.

Tools, Systems, and Automation

  • Serve as the global owner of Kantata/Mavenlink PMO governance — driving process standardization, reporting integrity, and best practices adoption.
  • Evaluate and optimize supporting tools, templates, and automation to enhance delivery efficiency and insight.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Service Sales & Quoting, Technical Practices, and Regional Delivery leaders to ensure smooth project initiation, scoping accuracy, and resourcing alignment.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations to support accurate forecasting, project margin analysis, and performance reporting.

Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Skills

  • Proven experience developing and governing global project management frameworks and standards. 10+ years of experience in professional services, including 5+ years in PMO leadership or project governance roles within a global software or technology organization.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and best practices for scaling PMOs across diverse delivery models.
  • Experience with Kantata/Mavenlink or similar professional services automation (PSA) tools.
  • Demonstrated success improving delivery consistency, project margins, and customer satisfaction through process and governance initiatives.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Strategic and systems thinker with the ability to design and operationalize complex governance frameworks.
  • Influential and collaborative leader who builds trust and alignment across global and cross-functional teams.
  • Data-driven decision-maker who uses metrics and insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Executive-level communicator capable of evangelizing PMO practices and influencing senior stakeholders.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Increased project delivery consistency across regions and partners.
  • Improved project margin and reduction in delivery variance.
  • Enhanced customer satisfaction scores (CSAT / NPS) for delivered projects.
  • Adoption rate of PMO standards and tools across the global organization.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
