We launch far past the expected. We chase curiosity, deep into the shadows. We will never be just another agency. And we’ve got the audacity to prove it.

We Are TMA.

Job Overview:

Are you naturally curious, culturally plugged in, and passionate about entertainment? Platinum Rye Entertainment is looking for an intern who lives and breathes pop culture - someone who can spot emerging talent and trends before they hit the mainstream.

In this role, you'll support our core entertainment verticals - product placement, talent, sports, music, and influencer - gaining hands-on exposure to how the world's top brands connect with culture. You'll learn to navigate the full talent spectrum, from A-list partnerships to the up-and-coming actors, artists, and properties on the verge of breaking through. Most importantly, you'll gain real insight into how fast, strategic, and high-impact deals come together at the intersection of entertainment and brand strategy.

This role requires sharp attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and a flexible, solutions-oriented mindset. You'll be embedded within our PRE team - a collaborative, high-performing team where curiosity, initiative, and being a true team player are everything.

Responsibilities:
  • Research and identify talent recommendations across high-profile actors, musicians, athletes, digital influencers, and subject matter experts - supporting client marketing objectives and product placement strategies
  • Track and monitor entertainment industry news, trends, and the cultural landscape across celebrity, sports, music, and influencer verticals - with a specific eye toward product placement opportunities in film, television, and streaming
  • Participate in project brainstorms and contribute ideas across active campaigns
  • Conduct competitive research to inform talent and placement recommendations across client categories
  • Support the identification and evaluation of product placement opportunities - from tentpole studio releases to emerging content with strong brand integration potential
  • Assist in coordinating talent and product placement logistics, including scheduling and managing detail-oriented project needs
  • Support the team with deck building, research, data input, and organizational tasks - including preparation of client-facing materials
  • Manage trackers, talent rosters, and project information - ensuring all data is accurate and up to date in folders
  • Lead team culture events and help foster a collaborative, energized team environment
  • Provide general administrative support to the broader PRE team, including senior leadership, as needed
Qualifications:
  • Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week in Los Angeles, CA
  • Must be completing or have completed a degree in PR, marketing, communications or related field experience and a deep understanding of social media and influencer marketing

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
