Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the country in which the role is being hired. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

Mark43’s mission is to empower communities and their governments with new technologies that improve the safety and quality of life for all. We build powerful, scalable, and elegant software that sets a new standard for the tools upon which our first responders rely. Our users are diverse, and we are therefore committed to embracing diversity of thought and experience within our team.

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to join our Product organization, focused on our Data Platform & Insights products as well as a new strategic Forms initiative. In this role, you will help shape the systems that power how public safety agencies collect, manage, analyze, and act on critical operational data. You will work across platform infrastructure, reporting and analytics experiences, and configurable workflow tooling to deliver products that are scalable, intuitive, and deeply impactful for our customers.

This is a highly execution-focused role where you will partner closely with engineering, design, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive product development from concept through launch and iteration. You will help define the future of how agencies operationalize data and insights across their organizations while ensuring our platform remains performant, flexible, and reliable at scale.

What You’ll Do

If you were part of our team, here are some things you would have done last week:

  • Owned roadmap execution for core capabilities across our Data Platform & Insights products and Forms initiative
  • Partnered closely with engineering teams to define scalable platform functionality, APIs, integrations, and data workflows
  • Collaborated with customers and internal stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics, and operational workflow needs across public safety agencies
  • Worked on new configurable forms and workflow experiences that improve data collection and operational efficiency
  • Prioritized and refined product requirements and backlog items based on customer feedback, technical constraints, and business priorities
  • Collaborated with go-to-market, sales, and services teams to support launches, customer adoption, and implementation planning
  • Helped define product requirements for AI-enabled insights, automation, and workflow enhancements across the platform
  • Balanced delivery of new platform capabilities with the operational work required to improve system reliability, usability, and scalability

What You’ll Need

We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager with 4–7+ years of experience building and shipping technical software products, ideally within enterprise SaaS or platform-focused environments. This level of experience is important given the complexity of data-driven workflows, the need to independently drive execution, and the cross-functional coordination required to deliver scalable platform capabilities.

  • Proven ability to own and deliver technical product areas end-to-end with a strong focus on execution
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams on platform, infrastructure, APIs, integrations, or data-intensive products
  • Strong understanding of data platforms, analytics products, workflow systems, or configurable enterprise software
  • Ability to translate complex customer and technical requirements into clear product direction and prioritized execution plans
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with design, engineering, sales, services, and go-to-market teams
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Interest in applying AI and automation to operational workflows and customer experiences
  • A data-informed mindset with the ability to make thoughtful, customer-driven decisions
  • Foundation in computer science and/or engineering whether that is through education or professional experience

People who thrive on our team also tend to share the following characteristics:

Humble, open, and curious. You seek out different perspectives and use them to build better products that serve a diverse set of users.

Communicative and collaborative. You proactively engage with customers, stakeholders, and teammates, ensuring alignment and shared understanding.

Capable and driven. You take ownership, follow through on commitments, and push work forward even when faced with ambiguity.

Comfortable with complexity. You can navigate intricate technical systems and operational workflows while translating them into intuitive product experiences.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
